This evening saw Sansha aggression along multiple fronts at the same time.
Auga, was the victim of an attack by a Sansha-piloted Chimera-class Carrier. I and several other pilots loyal to the Empire flew to Auga to assist in the defeat of Sansha as we have done since the crisis started. We were not barred access to Auga or to the site of the battle. However, once we arrived there, we were immediately fired on by Republican forces. In order to make sure that this was not a tracking error, I warped off, circled and returned at a greater distance. Again, Republican pilots broke off their attack on the Sansha carrier to target and fire on my vessel. I and my associates then
(For those concerned, the Republic showed their usual ineptitude and did not seriously harm me, my allies, my ship or my crew. I did have to retreat, as even I have difficulty with 120 Republic ships and a Sansha carrier. But I digressà)
I will be honest that our intentions were based on proximity and a desire to destroy Sansha ships and not based in an altruistic attempt to rescue our neighbors. I will also mention that my ship carried several units of Imperial Marines which would have been deployed to defend Republic citizens on the ground and in low-orbit. We were not given the opportunity to assist in this regard, either.
300,000 Republic citizens are slaves of Sansha tonight. Could we have lessened that number? Maybe, maybe not. Ours was a small unit. But if one life, just one life could have been savedà
Oh well.
This incident is now in the hands of the diplomats. This was not a case of friendly fire, nor was it a case of post-battle vindictiveness. The Republic, through their actions stated quite clearly to me today that they think they can take on SanshaÆs Nation on their own.
For my part, I say if the Republic wants to stand alone, so be it. You fear having us as Master so much that you flee right into the arms of another? Enjoy!
There was some good news. A certain spy/victim of a Sansha cybernetic attack was eventually found after a long pursuit that preluded the attacks. She is currently a guest of the Empire and is undergoing an aggressive battery of tests and questioning to make sure that she and her implants are free of taint. Once we have determined her cybernetic purity, we will then determine if and criminal or theological charges are necessary. I

Brother Mokk,
Are you sure your pilots did not conduct any actions that might have seemed aggressive?
I mean, to break off defending the planet just to attack another capsuleer or two, and risk having even more of one's citizens be abducated as a result would take a seriously black-hearted brigand.
Do you have any names of the pilots that thought firing at your forces was more important than saving their own citizens?
Of the TLF forces I found only Sasawong contemplating firing at me instead of the Sansha forces while I was present in the Auga theater. ____

Perhaps the Republic pilots view you Imperialists as just as much of a threat as the Nation? Oh that hurts doesn't it, to be compared to Sansha. |

They are not to be compared to Nation for they are inferior.

There are some in the Republic who might attack you...just as there are some in the Empire that have vowed to attack us for defending Amarr space. Thankfully there are some of us on both sides that can see who the greater threat is The art of the conversation shouldn't be present amongst friends. The skill of the conversation is in the listening. |

Edited by: Machiavelli''s Nemesis on 22/05/2010 07:21:35 With the exception of a single Tempest (which we observed trying to pick off targets of opportunity amongs our fleet), your pilots that came to "help" arrived in frigate class vessels. As these are more or less useless when trying to destroy an enemy carrier, the assumption was that you were scouts for the 20+ pilot hostile fleet we had reports of next door in kourmonen.
And if you are going to bleat about republic forces firing on war targets when they come to assist against the Sansha threat maybe you should spread that sentiment to the rest of the Amarr militia

There is also the fact that Matari militia pilots falsified records of the account to remove all references to Amarr intervention on the part of the people of Auga II. This is a blatant and obvious attempt by these pilots to falsify accounts of the raid and lie to their people, and the people of New Eden, as to the brave, often suicidal efforts we of the Empire have gone to to help protect the Matari population from Sansha enslavement. That the Minmatar would rather see Amarrians dead -- even Amarrians who come to help them fight against slavery -- rather than help the defense against the incursion speaks volumes to the Republic's true warmongering intentions.

I will look into the claims on this ôtempestö of which you speak. I think it is more likely that the pilot was defensively returning fire rather than trying to gain the aggression of 120+ ships.
Frigate hulls, do not a frigate make. I did also mention that the interceptor that I was piloting contained ground forces that could have protected your citizens. IÆm sorry that 120 of your best ships feel threatened by a handful of Amarr ôfrigates.ö It was not our intention to spook you.
As for the incident in Kamela, according to my records, Amarr forces did not begin to attack other targets until after the Sansha had been dealt with. This was still early on in the Sansha incursion and we were trying to restore order to our system and collect as much data on the Sansha as possible. Republic and pirate pilots were trying to run roughshod over the system, obeying no chain of command, firing on anything that moved and engaging in the equivalent of trampling over a crime scene. You inclusion of it here only serves to illustrate my point further. Your military is incapable of coping with the Sansha incursion or with assisting the rest of the galaxy. Over 1.3 million Republic citizens lost their lives yesterday while Imperial, State and Federal losses were kept to a minimum.
I pray you rethink your strategy before more of your people are enslaved or killed. The people you lose are the same ones that we eventually have to face in later assaults.
