with spielberg directing the movie, it'd prolly be the aircraft carrier launching his F-16 which he uses valliantly to kill off teh aliens..

Quote: The latest WOTW movie is said to have no relation whatsoever (other than the Martians) to the famous classic film of the same name that opened in 1953. While the earlier version took place in London, the modern version will showcase the invasion in a "working-class environment" according to WOTW screenwriter David Koepp. It was Koepp who felt that it "would be very interesting" to put the film in a "rusting, industrial America-look".
I'm pretty sure that the 1953 film was set in California...

"with spielberg directing the movie, it'd prolly be the aircraft carrier launching his F-16 which he uses valliantly to kill off teh aliens.."
Hmm at least it's not aircraft carrier launching walkie-talkies, tho' on second thought not sure if that wouldn't be more preferable... :s

Please no... Sixth Sense was the only one I thought was any good. Unbreakable, Signs and The Village were all utter rubbish.
Maybe Spielberg will do it justice, but I doubt it. Give it to Peter Jackson with a decent budget and maybe he could turn it into something worth seeing, he seems to have a certain vision lately

Edited by: Yarrick on 08/12/2004 19:00:10 The Book was and still is one of the best books i have ever read, I just pray Spielburg doesnt ruin it. But just imagine what it would be like if he does make it into a good movie. _____________________________________________
