Implants obviously need to be shown in killmails... but show them on corpses too!

Cause then you know how bad u just burned someone. Could be shown like mods on ships for pod kills.
But yea this needs to be moved and im sure there is already another thread on it. http://tinyurl.com/EostSig |

How bout a butcher skill, so you could rip the implants from a frozen corpse...and use/sell them!!

Pretty sure there have been lots of treads proposing this over the years.
Personally I think both are a good idea (implants on pod KMs and a skill to retrieve implants). I don't know why CCP doesn't impliment it, but I am sure they have their reasons.

This is relevant to my interests.
However, I also want to be able to consume corpses or at least wear their skin as a blanket inside my pod.

Not needed, only gives pirates more reason to dishonor ransoms, which means less people in low sec which means pirates complaining for more targets in low sec on forums, which is bad.

Why don't you look up one of the countless threads in the Assembly Hall or Features and Ideas that suggest the same silly thing and continue from there. -Jin Nib Trading on behalf of Opera Noir since: 2009.03.02 03:53:00

Ship fittings and rigs sort of makes sense, but wet-ware electronics?
I say go for it, if: In order to receive the data you have to rummage around the corpse for five minutes, completely immobilized. Data is lost if corpse is thawed and refrozen (ie. scooped and jettisoned)
PS: It is a silly idea with little to no value other than e-peen stroking.

when I first started playing, not knowing any better i suggested a Implant "salvage" skill through petition.
A skill that can be bought and trained which would allow the taking off and reuse of implants on yourself, and sure even the corpses from kills.
I also suggested a skill that would allow reuse of rigs.
Just make the skills expensive and high training mult.
So +1 to this idea.

Problem with the whole implant salvaging, according to the chronicles the brain gets pretty ****ed up when the memory snapshot to be sent to the cloning station is taken when hull breach is detected, so I would assume that and the rough ejection from the capsule would destroy the most likely sensitive implants.

I'm all for nerfing E-peen. ----------- Why is it called common sense, when it's clearly very rare.
I had a mind once, but alas, I seem to have forgotten where I left it.

How about hey fix rockets and assault ships and bunch of other things first before adding new features to the killmails.
If they removed kill mails completely, there would defiantly some changes to the game mechanics, it would probably bring a whole lot more one vs one stuff and spontaneous engagements. I'd say less bubling and more roaming. Noobs would approach PVP much easier, with less fear of worrying about developing a bad record and being made fun of. More people would fly logistics and dictors and there would be less fail fits in fleset which are designed to ***** out as many KM's as possible. However at the same time it would take away from the players who played the game for years building their e-peens, which may negatively impact their participation in PVP. It may even lower the amount of targets available since people would get lazy and stop pvp'ing unless they are doing it for the thrill. So it is a double edged sword.

If we can't reuse implants if we want to take them out, then why would we be able to use them if we take them from some poor sods corpse? We can't salvage whole rigs from other ship wrecks that had rigs on them afterall...

I actually made a thread suggesting that we be able to harvest implants from the corpses just like loot off of a ship. It's not like getting a pod kill is always easy, bottom line is, why not? it will be fun, just do it. Angels of Death EVE Corporation is Recruiting New and Old Pilots!!! |

KMs should also show the volume of victim's tears in mililiters! And if doable, an auto-record from his webcam uploaded directly to youtube showing his face after loss!

Implants on killmails have been agreed by CCP and are item 172 on a 180 item backlog
Luckily CCP keep assuring us how important the CSM is, so we will see this backlog dealt with with urgency im sure

why ? no one is forcing you to look at them.
Oh really? Killmails are fine, but the way they are put into killboards and what they represent really isn't, your K/D and ISK efficiency is the only thing that can define you as a PvP'er to a stranger. Corporations recruiting PvP pilots and so on will hop right onto google and base decisions on you almost purely on that. If I wanted to be, on paper, a 'good' PvPer I would never fight an opponent that would kill me before I got more kills on them, I would only fly in large gangs, and I would assign 1 gun to each target to ***** as much as I could.
I would say that killmails have a large impact on the way people play. Especially when it comes to fitting expensive stuff on ships, if you lose it, it is then immortalized rather than "oh well, plenty more ISK where that came from". Without killmails, you would see a lot more isk thrown at setups, thus more valuable kills. I have never posted a loss or a killmail myself unless a corp member asked me to for their E-Peen as I dislike the whole business. Ideally the system should be dismantled as to no longer show fittings at all. Only when/where/what/who.
That would also makes the intelligence war harder. If I am going to be engaged with a small entity of a few pilots. I know exactly what to expect from all their regular ships before I even fight them, and there is nothing they can do to prevent this. ----------------------------------------------- Mr.Kippling just launched a nuclear holocaust at third world countries! ... But he does make exceedingly good cakes. |
