Will EVE Gate ever be available to train skills? Because I am often out for a few days and it would be REALLY useful. Also, will it ever be made into an iTouch/iPhone app, because I would gladly pay ú5 for an app that let me set skills to train anywhere...

There is no app yet, but you could try going to www.evegate.com through Safari... There is no option to train skills though, which is a huge disappointment, and an app would be nice.

the correct HTTPS url is https://gate.eveonline.com.
http://www.evegate.com and http://evegate.com are redirects to the https site above. If you have https in the url and not the above url exactly, you may see a certificate error (the certificate is valid for gate.eveonline.com).

Corp chatter can take some time to populate when you first click it, but if you come back after a minute or two, it will be there.

I'd really like to see some sort of integrated skill planning (more like EVE mon plans) and in browser skill training. At the moment I cant really see the point in the EVE gate, there isn't anything I can really 'manage' aside from looking at my wealth and viewing in-game mails.
Which really isn't character management in my opinion.

Have been waitig for 10 minutes now but corp chatter is not filling up, and I cant chat into corp.

I just wanted to say it's kind of ridiculous I had to scour the forums for like 5 minutes just to find out where to go to disable this feature that I don't even want. Eve gate page doesn't even show up on google!
CCP; Perhaps you should put a link to eve gate on the main page...seems to make sense.

Hmm, it seems if i read a corp mail, then hit the yellow reply button it doesn't reply, it tells me i need a subject & recipient. Still the odd bug to iron out :)

In EVE Gate, portraits are created on an as-needed basis.
If your character portrait or alt portrait is missing, it is in a (fairly large) queue of images to be rendered right now, they should be showing up correctly in the next few hours.

Character images that are not immediately available should begin appearing in a little while.
The images get queued for rendering the very first time they get requested. The new image service then works its way through the pending requests and the images get cached for future use, once that's done access to them is VERY fast. This is a complete rewrite of the old image service and is a huge improvement.
We pre-rendered a lot of the images in advance of deployment so some of the images are already there, the rest will be available as soon as they have been processed. With EVE Gate just going live, the initial queue will build up quickly and there will be a more sizable delay than usual in working through them but they will get completed in the order requested and as quickly as possible.

anyone else having trouble adding people to the watch list? I click the check boxes, then click add to watch list, and I get a silly message saying "0 contacts added to watchlist" wazzup?

Just a minor suggestion:
Would it be possible to include a 'choose default time zone' type of setting in the setting area, so the calendar and mails (and everything else) can display when an event is without having to manually covert to UTC and possibly getting the dates wrong?

Are you really saying in those five minutes, it never once occurred to you to try the most obvious possible address for something called 'EVE Gate'?
Maybe I'm even smarter than I thought, but I thought about it for about 1.3 seconds and then tried www.evegate.com and sure enough, it worked! My powers of deductive reasoning are amazing, are they not?

No, because the most obvious thing would be for the company would put a link on their page instead of leaving for people to try to go about guessing how to get into it.
