Army of Darkness? Or rather since you have the whole day Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, and then Army of Darkness.
Or The Professional.
Or Alien and Aliens.
Or Oldboy.
Or something that doesn't involve violence... um... uh.... like Kill Bill 2 :P

There's a film I love that I don't think is super well-known, It's called "Intacto". Most of it is in English with a couple subtitled scenes (it's not unbearable if you don't like subtitles, it's really just a tiny bit).
I strongly recommend it. I can't say too much without giving things away. Please take a chance on it and tell me what you think!
Also, get yourself some of those cold "real" sci-fi movies, moon was mentioned, put sunshine in there and 2001.
After watching all this though, make sure to have something funny when the time is right to lighten the mood, though not before sleeping.

Days like that I tend to just watch TV shows such as No Reservations with Anthony Bourdain. However since you asked for movies are you trying to see watch old or new ones? Also who rents movies these days? Yeah I am a pirate. What are you gonna do about it? http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/combat_record.php?type=player&name=Mutant+Caldari http://roadkill.igs-corp.net/?a=pilot_detail&plt_id=32678 |

Edited by: Vogue on 05/06/2010 22:29:38 The Road is an amazing film. Most other post apocalyptic films are escapist titilation but the Road is a dark grinding film about a father with a broken heart that wants to protect his innocent son and his flame of humanity, who is "carrying the fire" in a world where mankind is a remorseless beast from the collapse of civilization and order.

More seriously, adding to the titles in the previous posts.... Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels Enter the Dragon (Bruce Lee at his finest) Original Starwars Indiana Jones (original 3. There was no 4th)
Or oldschool... The Black Hole (pretty good for a disney film) The Last Starfighter Goonies (no not the Something Awful people)
Or if you really want a blast from the past to kill an afternoon: X-Bomber Complete DVD collection.

It was a work of art, my friend. Don't be bitter just because something actually good was popular and widely talked about for once.
Oh, and I almost forgot. I just made you read my signature. |
