Most of it is in English with a couple subtitled scenes (it's not unbearable if you don't like subtitles, it's really just a tiny bit). I strongly recommend it. I can't say too much without giving things away. Please take a chance on it and tell me what you think! Also, get yourself some of those cold "real" sci-fi movies, moon was mentioned, put sunshine in there and 2001. After watching all this though, make sure to have something funny when the time is right to lighten the mood, though not before sleeping.

Most other post apocalyptic films are escapist titilation but the Road is a dark grinding film about a father with a broken heart that wants to protect his innocent son and his flame of humanity, who is "carrying the fire" in a world where mankind is a remorseless beast from the collapse of civilization and order.

It was an original script that had nothing to do with "the original". The original movie's title was inspiration for the new movies title. Nothing else. Different strokes for different folks I guess, but typically the kinds of things you're talking about make people sound like they're just looking for gun fights and explosions, rather than dynamic, FUNNY and dramatic acting/performance/production peppered with good action sequences. Oh, and I almost forgot. I just made you read my signature.

Scenes that by themselves are worth watching a whole movie for. He generally has a few of these in a movie. I approve of this, some of the films he starred in, were simply marvelous, I still remember a good one, of him being a cyborg in a post apocalyptic world, and how he finds a single lone unspent bullet at the beggining of the movie and it's the whole pivotal plot of it, regarding a "warehouse full of guns and ammo" . But as usual, these low budget films are an "acquired taste" --- Viva VENEZUELA!!! Archipelago Theory

By the time you got done hearing the first set of whiney chicks biatch and moan about life, tease their 'boyfriends' and basically do all the things that annoy the ** out of men in general you got a much much better rush when he turned them into hamburger and giblets. Then the next set of girls are like the total opposite in that you would just love to spend an evening in a bar with them drinking beer and talking about cars and sports and such then **ing the rest of the night away in a hotel room like a drunken horny pair of rabbits. Actually the whole car crash does it's fantastic. Anyways the character development and dialog is why you need to watch the whole movies for scenes which blow you away rather then just chucking the rest and watching only the scenes you like. Also I loved Ninja Assassin, I thought it was totally worth watching twice. Also when he does that handstand push up, holy horse** that was cool! I don't really understand how its possible not to like it really. People shouldn't expect Shakespeare from a movie with a title like that.

Cashback - not Sci-Fi but it's a small budget British film about a Uinversity student who becomes really hung up on a girl after their break-up so he can't sleep. The film is really about what he fills his time with and dealing with the break-up in the weeks that follow (without sleep). Well worth a watch and is quite possibly one of my favourite films. 2. Let the right one in - I haven't watched it yet but I've been told by numerous people that it is fantastic. It's a Swedish film with subtitles but don't let that put you off. It's about a boy who is getting bullied at school and finds help in a little girl about his age...who doesn't feel the cold, can't go out in sunlight and has strange teeth. 3. The Robert Downy Jr. Sherlock Holmes - watched this one the other day, it's really good! For those who have seen it...DISCOMBOBULATION!! Enjoy!
