+++ We will be resetting all entities without exception after midnight tonight +++
For any that desire a little background, read on.
After fighting for Mostly Harmless for a number of months now, we have found ourselves recipient of the kind of treatment that I had put down to simple rumour, with a small pocket of systems around KDV that we had pacified from IAC, Dark Pride and Red Army Alliance now being handed over to Spacemonkey's Alliance.
SMA is an entity now larger than us in numbers but greatly deficient in all terms of ability and actual achievement, who possess a very selective memory when posting loss mails and who have been working somewhat like a parasite in our territory ever since Lou Cypher asked us to allow them the UC3 system as a favour. I had expected SMA to use it as a temporary rest stop on the road to securing a proper stretch for themselves. Instead it seems our earstwhile allies decided to take their prospective territory from their unsuspecting friends via diplomacy with MH once they saw our alliance suffering from internal drama.
At any rate, after being ordered out of our constellation by Mostly Harmless, we were presented with 'choices'. On one hand we could accept another long war for them on D2-, hoping that this time they allow us to keep the territory captured at the end, or on the other, we could select one of two zones of mainly pipeline systems which would also require blues to be kicked out of their home to make room for us.
For obvious reasons, neither appealed to us.
Instead, we transferred J-O and KDV into Red Overlord's hands, leaving RD- for SMA to siege (already they've lost a dreadnought there - not posted on their board, but that's normal for them). I trust ROL will have plenty of entertainment there and I wish them all the best.
To be fair, SMA should really be thanking us. Now rather than just claiming to have fought for the pocket, they actually can. As for us, for now we'll be dropping down in size and getting back to basics. Roaming into several 0.0 regions near our present location should provide plenty of entertainment for us at any rate.
There are those that would say involving ourselves with the NC meant we deserve this kind of outcome, and perhaps they're right. I wanted to find a place where we could earn a small home of our own that could end more than a couple of years of wandering for my guys. This seemed the place. Apparently not.

Territorial issues within a coalition are normal and expected, especially considering your organization's "new" status and the fact that there's naturally going to be a need for rearrangement and reorganization post-MAX 2. Handing your turf over to the enemy instead of reaching some kind of diplomatic solution (even if an accord can't be met and the most equitable solution is you leaving the coalition) seems immature imo.

FYI diplomacy was attempted. In point of fact, MH was going to reset us without notice, while we were attempting to be diplomatic about it, and only a slip of the tongue by one of their execs revealed that to us.
The options they gave, after telling us they gave away the space we worked for, were to boot out Fatal in their space, or the 2 alliances near p-2, making us a bunch of hippocrates.
We realised something was going on when SMA were first given a system there, and realised that many of their corps were former MH, and so probably had ties in that alliance. We hoped that whiel that was the case, MH would atleast deal fairly with us. We did not expect to see that their word means nothing to them. Glad to see that Controlled Chaos has split from them, seems they took the better corps. Hopefully when MH suffers the inevitable crash they're headed towards now, their leaders remember the lesson and deal with their guests with open hands and respect.
Also, most of our member corps did not begin to leave until MH pulled this crap, as they were understandably upset over seeing our hard work go to nothing. Many of them have joined other NC alliances, wishing you guys the best.
Final point, anyone who thinks Vanguard deliberately misleads our killboard should read it over again....sometimes mails do get missed after big fights, posting cyno ship kills reveals logistic chains and etc, but nothing like how SMA's stood before a former member decided to patrol the red killboards and update it for them before their corp left. I think 44.61% efficency says it all folks.

While my alliances mates are happy to see this and have trollolz a bit, I wish Vanguard. all the best. Breaking away from the NC is the best decision to make; reforming and going back to basics will, for sure, work out well. I hope you come back and visit us on your roams, but please give us better loot. Thanks!
