[1] Edited by: Cherok on 15/12/2004 22:10:18 Megathron needs nerf! 1. Megathron gets a tracking AND damage bonus. This is overpowering in any combat situation and should be fixed. No other gun in the game can match the damage these guns do. 2. Megathron setup with Blasters does the most damage of any ship bar none. I was in a fully tanked Maller and in less than 30 seconds I was dead. WTF! I didn't even get a chance to activate my hardners! 3. Megathron has 7 high slots which is plenty for the damage it does. So why does it need the 8th slot? 4. The range of the 425's rails is > my lasers. How can a projectile travel further than Light? 5. Megathron can do more damage, has more drones AND tank almost as well as my apoc. Where is the fairness in that? 6. With the new changes to the MWD's, megathron will be overpowered since it will now have more HP AND still do most damage in the game. 7. Megathron can fit high slots with 425's and run almost a full ARMOR TANK at the same time. This is S-T-U-P-I-D. Please sort. No other ship can do this in game that I know of. 8. Guess what, I lasted exactly 2 volleys from the Apocs guns. Even with me trying to MWD up close to him so his tracking couldn't track. BS! 1 BS and 1 cruiser couldn't take down 1 BS?! 3. I believe 4 interceptors should be able to take down a battleship if they worked together. However, an Apoc with 8xheavy nos with backup arrays and sensor boosters in mids is impossible to take down. Please sort this. 4. With the cap reduction of laser turrets, the apoc no longer needs the bonus to to Cap as a ship bonus. I think a shield booster bonus or something would be better. 5. Any noob can get the skills to fly an apoc and fit 8xminer 2's. This makes it one of the best mining ships in the game. It should be much harder to fit the best mining lasers on a ship. I have 4 skill points in 5 different skills and I can mine like a champ in my Apoc. No other ship in game can do this like the Apoc. 6. A fully tanked apoc would take 3 other Battleships to kill it because of its uber cap to run armor reps. This is way overpowerd...my armor tanked scorp gets wtf owned by any BS in the game... 7. Last night I tried to orbit a pulsegeddon in my Taranis. BEFORE, thats right...BEFORE I had even clicked to move my ship, I was dead. What the hell happened to big guns not tracking interceptors? I trained all these skills for WHAT? 3. This ship has 3 mid slots. HELLO...why the hell does it need 3 mid slots when it will WTF own you with 7xpulse and 8xdamage mods? The 3 extra mid slots on this beast = overpowered. Please remove or at least not allow this ship to fit sensor boosters or tracking equipment. 4. Anyone who PVP's in a Geddon fits the SAME SETUP. I asked her why and she said she was too uber at the game and was bored. Please fix or everyone will do the same and you won't have customers left. 6. Like the Apoc, Geddon gets a bonus on lasers using less cap. Now this ship can fire all lasers forever without a worry on cap. What happened to the days of Amarr ships using hybrids instead of lasers? Again, CCP, we know its Amarr 4 teh w1n. :( 7. You could fit your entire fleet with Geddons using 3xracial jammers, 8xdamage mods, 7xpulses and it would be teh w1n. Is this right? There is NO WAY TO COUNTER THIS. 8. With the recent changes to the Dominix, it is now one of the most feared ship in the game. Its not easy...and with the dominix using 15 of them bastards and carrying hundreds more, how the hell is another battleship supposed to compete with that? So basically the Dominix has a weapon that no other battleship can hit and kill. Only a slow death while they curse CCP for making the game this way. I quit the game and canceled my account because of this apparnet 'bug'. But I've since resubscribed once I realized how CHEAP IT IS TO OWN ONE OF THESE SHIPS! I think this ship should be removed from the game until this is sorted. 5. A Blasterdom will own any other battleship in the game. Even tier 2 ships. Why would a ship that costs half as much as mine be able to do more damage? What sense does it make? 6. CCP has made changes to all other ships so they can't hit frigs. But with the bonuses on this ship, if I see a dominix in my Crow, I just warp out. The drones will destroy you and lag you to death. Scorpion needs nerf! 1. 8xmultispec Jammers will WTF own any ship in the game. This is wrong and unbalanced. I propose a stacking penalty for each additional multispec jammer used. 2. again, 8xmid slots on this ship makes it invincible. 8xhardners + 10 other scorps using large shield transfers is uber. This ship simply can't be killed. Where is the balance? No ship should have 8xmid or 8xlow as they are overpowering. 3. This ship can do 100% of its damage while running a full 8xmid slot shield tank. No ship in the game should be able to have 100% offence and 100% defence at the same time. All other ships in teh game have to choose...offence or defence. Not this ship...you can do both or just use 8xjammers and nobody can lock on to you anyway. 4. CCP has stated that multiple frigs should be able to take down a battleship. With 8xmulti jammers rotating targets, it would take a fleet of frigs just to bring this monster down. Is that why I pay my money every month? I THINK NOT! 5. My apoc has 4xmid slots and 7xlow slots. With this beast's 8xmid and 4xlow, that extra slot = teh w1n EVERY TIME. Again, is that what CCP wants? Everyone to go around ganking everyone in a Scorpion? |

This ship can do 100% of its damage while running a full 8xmid slot shield tank. No ship in the game should be able to have 100% offence and 100% defence at the same time. All other ships in teh game have to choose...offence or defence. Not this ship...you can do both or just use 8xjammers and nobody can lock on to you anyway. 4. CCP has stated that multiple frigs should be able to take down a battleship. With 8xmulti jammers rotating targets, it would take a fleet of frigs just to bring this monster down. Is that why I pay my money every month? I THINK NOT! 5. My apoc has 4xmid slots and 7xlow slots. With this beast's 8xmid and 4xlow, that extra slot = teh w1n EVERY TIME. Again, is that what CCP wants? Everyone to go around ganking everyone in a Scorpion? |

Domi's just don't have the pwrgrid, ya lots of drones but that's bout it, and the bit about em shield and armour tankin at the same time just makes me laugh. lol I own all of the above poc, mega and domi. And I can tell ya me mega hasn't been outta the hanger since the tracking goof up on rails (not a blaster fan), me domi is pretty much just a glorified miner and most combat I do in me poc as lasers are bout the only wep grp that actually seem to hit well(ish), even using transversal and a experienced character. |

Why should any ship get the fit guns that are both the longest ranged, and have the highest damage mod, especially when they have two damage bonuses to boot. 5. The Temp's guns don't use energy. Not only does it get the longest range, highest damage mod guns in the game, but they use no energy, what so ever to fire. How is that fair? 6. What's even worse is, not only are it's guns the longest ranged in the game, with the highest damage mods in the game, augmented by both a damage bonus *and* a rate of fire bonus, and flanked by "I Win Button" missile launchers, the Tempest can mount 5 tracking computers in its mid slots and 6 damage mods in its low slots, giving it even more range and more damage still. It's obscene that any ship should have such range and firepower at its disposal. Nerf the Typhoon: 1. The Typhoon has a 3000m drone bay, meaning that it has a huge number of unhitable, uber damage dealing drones at its disposal, all ready to kill anything, and everything for it, and they can even hit frigates. No battleship should be able to harm a frigate. That way battleship have to have escorts, and it will force teamwork. 2. The 'Phoon gets a 10% range per level bonus to its guns. No other battleship gets a range bonus to turrets, and considering the 'Phoon already uses the longest ranged guns in the game, to give it even more range is horribly unbalancing. It can simply sit at umpteen-billion kilometers away, and snipe ships at 0 risk. Yes, that's right, 0 risk! Everything in this game needs to have risk, and anything that negates it need to be nerfed now! 3. The Typhoon is fast.
