CCP getting involved in an ingame scam? Has scamming been Nerfed?

In fact reading the BIG situation was to me, playing this game from the last stage of beta actually funner then playing the game. The drama, mystery and suspence was far more interisting then sitting and waiting for a fleet battle, guarding a station, mining, agent missions or anythign else related to game play. The fact is I bearly play this game althou I continue to support CCP on a monthly basis. I actually never thought CCP would be able to get involved in an ingame char. for isk trade/scam. How can they interfear with an ongoing scam? Lets say just for the sake of it that Fret was working this scam to the end and BIG was just about to actually pay out the 750 mil for any of several reasons, but CCP says o no we lock thread, we fix it, we nerf scam, we protect the carebears again. CCP blew a great scam worked very nicely by fret./// For the sake of it lets say tion has an alt named axee and tion was in the process of working a great scam on fret and BIG and CCP just blew it. blah blah blah either way scamming is and always has been part of this game, unfortunitly. The universe is a dangerous place, so is doing transactions with players.I dont see how CCP can get involved and yet they do and ofcourse I have a long history with not agreeing with moderators of these boards and cant stand the fact they walk around with a big stick beating up and locking away any thread for the sillyest of reasons. Again they locked a thread that was very entertaining to say the least. Again im disgusted with the way the BIG Situation threads were locked. But more disgusted with the fact they are getting involved in an ingame transaction. just plain sad whatever The Blue Pills Make Me Happy

Notice how BIG always gets all kinds of cool toys like impocs and impageddons for thier lottery and such, and always gets announced in in-game news, etc., theyre under heavy scruitny to play with honor and they should be. If youre going to get to have such a good relationship with the devs you should be the cream of the crop in honor and integrity, or you look like asshats and the devs look retarded. _________________ [SAK] And Proud Of It! aka Cpt Bogus Is that my torped sig cloaking your base?

I can hardly see how the sale of a character can be classed as something thats in game. It's not as of your selling a ship or an item, this is about selling an actuall char and IMO that should be totaly banned anyway and is in itself cheating. If it was up to me I'd stop char transfers altogether so no one could buy / sell chars. But back to the point I dont believe selling a char can be classed as an in game scam. Everything about it is OOG except for the actuall tranfer of ISK.

IMHO it's CCP's responsibility to step in at a situation such as this.
