I feel very comfortable with the intervention by CCP.
They'll investigate that matter and they will know who cheated.

Orestes is working in a different division, although his ghost posts to the forums under a different guise.
Eris got to this thread before I did, so all those that put bets on Orestes, myself or Wrangler better pony up the ISK.
As for the reason I locked the other threads, the situation was being investigated by the GM team and both threads had degraded into flamefests. Posts to the threads would not have had any impact on the outcome of the investigation (the GMs and CCP staff have the ability to look at the accounts, view transactions between the parties, see if characters had been transferred, etc.).
For the record, BIG does not receive anything from CCP in support of their lotteries and promotions, the Impageddon and Impocalypse were donated by players, not CCP. As for the headlines, BIG sends in requests for support to myself and the content team. Any player or corporation may do so as well. In all cases, each request is reviewed and posted if deemed worthy.
I hope this explains the reasoning behind the actions taken and clarifies any misconceptions about the relationship between CCP and BIG.
