(appart from the last thrasher kill where I actually fought him and it was a close call)

it's actually a very lolable story. It was like 1 month into my FW carrear and I finally had some isk so I decided to buy a slicer and fit it. Spent almost all my isk in it but I was happy with it. All the sudden my GF cames up to my house and I go open the door and stay in the living room talking and all the sudden I hear the alarm sound in eve while kissing my GF. I jump off the couch running to the pc, my GF is like WTF?! and I arrive in time to see my pod go away. I go like "aww" and my GF laughs at me and how nub I was (she plays eve <.<)
To this day when I talk big to her about amazing FW fights and stories she mocks me about staying at a gate afk while wardec'd (well FW but same thing really)

You did well in Oin, I'll give you that. You can't say the same for your other corp/militia members though but you... well even if we all hate you all of us agree that you are a skilled and crafty pilot Damar, even though you are a ****y douche, you know your advantages and you exploit them quite well. If it wasn't for that attitude you would even get people to admire your skills, but oh well.
Anyway at the end of the day I don't really care :) I just want to blow up ships (even mine >.<)
edit: also just because I said something, it doesn't mean I'm talking for all QCATS. You assume to much. edit2: oh noes I was caught posting in this thread again that lost it's purpose 8 pages ago. damn you flame bait.

Although I have been out of FW for a good few months now, my experience participating in Gall/Cald FW was that Cald side had a much higher ratio of newer players to experienced players than Gall. Also, Cald side had a lot of people who joined up specifically to farm missions rather than pvp, while Gall side was almost exclusively pvpers looking for a fight. And after looking for days and days for kills and not finding a single engagement, they tend to get very very bloodthirsty...
I quit after a while and eventually re-enlisted in the Minm/Amarr conflict because it was much more balanced with activity on both sides. I had a lot more fun doing Minm/Amarr FW as a result. I only left because if you're an old player it can be rather frustrating being the only guy in your fleet in a higher-end T2 ship. I'd rejoin FW on Minm or Amarr side in a heartbeat if I could find dedicated T2-capable/higher-end pilots to fly with.

The Caldari / Gallente fight has been hotting up recently with the addition of Nibbletek to the squids, made it a whole lot more interesting and fun - Now theres actually tactics and skill needed with engagements whereas up until recently its been too many gank fights.
Last couple of nights i think we changed ships / tactics (and Nibbletek did as well) about half a dozen times in the space of an hour to try and counter each other! BS gang, then to long range hac / recons, then to faction frigs, then to BC's.
A lot of the Gallente corps have been here since the beginning (or as near as dammit) of FW so tend to be more organised, better discipline, have worked together on a nightly basis, shared comms etc than a lot of our Caldari counterparts which does give a advantage when fighting in the bigger fleets (even tho we do f*** up sometimes like everyone does)

One of the biggest reasons I see lately that the Squids don't do better is target discipline.
After the first 45 seconds or so of combat you can get an idea that most everyone on the Caldari side who is flying a Drake is flinging missiles randomly into the void.
I barely ever fly anything other than a "ship of the line" which most of the time is a Drake. I will routinely get one person in another Drake red boxing me, then disengaging, then someone else red boxing me, then disengaging. If I have some of our "Lead" fleet members on a watch list you will see that almost all of them are aggressed at one time or another.
Just sayin, focus firing may be the real issue here.

Killmail whoring at its finest. Ungroup guns, target 6-7 ships, f1...f2...f3 etc (one on each target). Fights are more fun if we focus our fire and such, oh and if FC's don't make their sniper fleets land on top of close range fleets (oops! )
P.S.
Hi Aerillis, we need to do another 2v2 or 3v3 on SC ^^

Actually you would have had us last time. You put enough pressure on gunny's workers to keep him out for half of the game, and if Buck Swanson didn't mass the worst terran unit in the game it would have been 2v1. Well hey, you don't have to be on the opposite team. I'll carry you to victory next time :P

Originally by: Draco Rosso Based on what I seen so far Nibbletek seems to be an EU timezone corp. It still doesn't affect the USTZ, where the Gals have a solid upper hand. Caldari militia has been more competitive (donÆt laugh its true) during the EU timezone in the last couple of months. IBS and with the recent addition of Draketrain both of which are EU timezone based corps. I wonder if Bi-polar had any Intel on NibbletekÆs entry into faction warfare? What they will do now that they actually have a strong corp. to test thier mantle against? Anyways it doesnÆt matter, what I want to know is can GalMil EUTZ hold out for the next couple of weeks? Or will the Gals be forced to stay docked in HQ while thier FCs/Leadership mysteriously go afk? Of course nibbletek could get bored/take heavy losses and leave the Cal Mil, then we could be back at square one again. I'll revisit this thread in two weeks for the answers.
ItÆs been a little over two weeks which is enough time for most wars in eve to come to conclusions. It looks like the victors of the ôNibbletek Archö are the Gallente militia. Since I donÆt play in the EUTZ IÆm only going by what I seen on the kill board. After the first major fight between the Nibble and the Gals things were pretty quiet until last week, were Nibbletek took some heavy losses in Nisuwa. Not sure how active they were after the fact but it looks like Nibbletek has left the Caldari Militia. Hopefully we can get some comments from both Nibbletek and the Gals about the entire conflict with out the usual trolling.

I saw just two battles. The very first I linked earlier in this thread when Nibbletek entered, and this carrier heavy battle
http://www.gallente.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=7846320
To begin with, we were skirmishing in BC's against a smaller nibbletek BS gang. Finally, it seemed a nibbletek BS gang was going to engage our BC gang in Oina. As soon as shooting started, a cyno went up and an archon landed on the field.
Our BC gang headed back to heyd, reshipped to RR BS and came back just as the cyno went down (we were in warp when the cyno unlit). However, Nibbletek had just lit a cyno with a pilgrim on the nisuwa station, so we ran there to at least kill the pilgrim. And that started the chain of mistakes for nibbletek.
My best guess is that nibbletek underestimated our gang, and to try and save the pilgrim they triaged not one, but two archons. They also scrambled some BS's at the same time. One archon died, another archon docked in 5% structure. At the peak, nibbletek had 5-6 carriers on the undock and a few more BS than showed up on the battlereport, but it was really the triage that screwed them over.
What happenned between those times - hopefully someone from the EU TZ can fill us in. We did shoot at their POS a few times only to be chased away by motherships.

Was good fun having Nibbletek living in our home if Nisuwa - they were great to fight against and virtually no smack. There were not that many big engagements and a lot of time spent reshipping to try and out do each other.
I think one of the problems they had was a lot of the time the numbers that we were fielding made it difficult for them to fight against. I get 20-30 online a night just in SoTF and add into that our friends too.
When they moved in we started a campaign on our killboard to see how we'd measure up against them as tbh we expected a bloody hard time when they moved in! http://sotf.eve-kill.net/?a=cc_detail&ctr_id=7297 we seemed to do ok in the end.
Shame they left tbh and it would be great to see more if the established quality pvp corps join the squids.

We made a fleet of 20-30 drakes, machariels, scimitars and recons on that day when Nibble asked Draep to help defending their POS. Naturally all the big engagements happened long after we were gone and Nibble had repaired the pos.
We hoped for a chance to stomp you to ground but despite having all the usual suspects present, no luck. Was another disappointing show from Gallente and only thing we got to shoot were some Goon battleships in Tama when we were on our way to grab coffee and snacks for rf timer waiting.
Then we had to go and so frigate roam around Auga/Amamake, killed some faction cruisers and when Matar formed a fleet of bs/bc against us, we went to get our drakes and killed their fleet to Auga.

you are always so right D-man, we didnt try to take down the pos because we heard you guys had a fleet out, it was nothing to do with the 10 motherships and titan nibbletek were going to drop on our fleet... honest...

on a side note, +1 to Percussive diplomacy they are far better than Inglorious-Basterds, PD has shown more balls, and we like it when a corp shows us their balls.

One has to ask why you bothered putting pos to reinforced then if you knew that there is titan and 10 MOS waiting you. Does not really make sense but then again, you are Gallente after all...
