A change in the missile system is needed very much, especialy after the latest propulsion nerf. There is now no way to defend against a salvo of missiles. Missiles are the super weapon that beats all. It used to be you could have a chance by outrunning them. Now they made it so that missiles lead their targets and their targets can't move.
Turrets have to deal with accuracy issues. The downside of missiles is supposed to be whether or not they can actualy reach their target. CCP has completely erased the downside of missiles now. They will always hit. The only possible solution left to counter missiles is defender missiles, and those will only take one missile down. Every single defender aims for the same missile, leaving all the others.
CCP keeps releasing more and more updates that favor missiles. The public outcry against this keeps growing with every patch, yet CCP is ignoring it.
One of two things needs to happen. The first option is a substantial way to counter missiles. Either make defenders each seek unique targets or perhaps make point defence guns, anti missile drones, etc.
The second option is to nerf the missiles. Make them do less damage, introduce dud missiles, make them miss their targets and explode off to the side occasionally, anything.
Why doesn't CCP fix this? People are demanding that CCP nerf missiles, so what do they do? They make missiles lead their targets and nerf propulsion. Way to go, guys! Keep it up.

My name is (your name here) and I have a complaint about balance in the game. Currently the (your ship here) is very underpowered due to (pick a mod here). Currently the (put your enemies ship here) is vastly overpowered and this is unfair. I feel the (your ship here) should be given a (insert number 1-100) times boost in (select ship cpu, powergrid or armor) to compensate for this obvious balance issue. Instead of his "ship is shinyer than mine, make it duller" why not ask for a new pain job on your own ship?
In other words, why mess up other peoples gamplay just because you can't cope/adapt to it?
As it happens though you plea for the nerf bat is totally pointless as the Devs will make changes to Missiles when they have the time to. But in case you havent noticed, Exodus is very very broken and needs to be fixed before they break anything else.

I think it went a little something like this....

I think it went a little something like this....

The devs do know about a slight imbalance of large missiles against smaller sized targets. But, they fortunately realized that you must not entirely listen to the community when you attempt to balance things, because in every balance forums this "community" is usually a tiny minority of whiners, and only a tiny minority of those know what they're talking about.
Nonetheless I would like to express again that missiles do need adjustments. The damage should be distributed by class id.

I wouldn't call the ability to insta-kill frigates and cruisers a 'slight imbalance'. And I wouldn't say only a 'tiny minority' wants this change either.

I do admit missiles are very good being able to do the same amount of damage at any range and great accuracy and all that. But given the right range ect turrets can do ubber damage that missiles cant compete with. If u fly carfully and stay at the right ranges ect u can blow the f*** out of a raven
summary. missiles are a more noobish weapon that does same damage at any range and requirs no skill to use
Turrets you have alot more work to do in getting your range and tacking right but when done properly u can do nice damage.
