Once a Corp mate and I were camping a war target in a station well my Corp mate started reamote sensor boosting me and I some how got him targeted war target undocks I lock Jim shoot my Corp mate blows up
Another time a Corp mate of mine was ninja salvaging in a rigger picked up aggrieved from a mission rat and died |

nano/honor tank deimos lolfit AFK loss to AML super-lol-fit ferox.
worst loss ever. i had gotten a bunch of kills prior that were lollerific and then had to go afk for class 6 GF aggro... went to a safe, came back to a ferox with AML's getting me into structure... scram and dual webbed. wtf?

In a recent rather bitter low-sec war we had an enemy Tengu testing out
their tank on the dock port against our camping group.
"What a fine tank my Tengu has...", from brash enemy.
"It would be even better with fleet leadership bonus...", says sneaky colleague
"...here's a fleet invite, see what it can stand up to..."
Tengu pilot takes invite, exits station and then is insta-undocked via a gang warp
to a rather more deadly tank test than they had expected.
Tengu pilot face-palms, logs off and is not seen for a couple of days.
Guily party names available on application!

I lost a faction fitted dramiel, by going afk standing still in an off grid safe spot, wasnt happy coming back and finding my dram popped and losing my snake clone. Soon learnt though

Fitted out a Jaguar and went to tama. Had a pithi A-type shield booster on it and felt invincible. A blinky megathron was getting banged out by some caldari militia so I join in on the fun. We kill the megathron and in celebration the militia kills me. Maybe if I was still in the caldari militia at that point they would have spared me...

This isnt embarrasing but it is extremely bad luck.
I had a 2billion isk plexing nightmare for guristas space, i just got done doing a 8/10 and i was bored so i warped to a belt to kill some rats and what not. As i am in warp a red enters system and i see an absolution on scan. I land and start to warp out immediatly, then the abso lands in the belt, i am just about to enter warp, around 1 second more, and i am at my desk laughing a little at the fact he was so close to getting me. Here is the bad part. 1 second before i warp the 3 frigs in the belt warp scram me, yes all 3 warp scram me. I then tank the abso for like 3-4 minutes while i wait for my friends, however it isnt enough time and i die. That is what is called $h!t luck lol.

My embarassing loss. I've been running agent missions and get assigned a simple courier job. I've been playing for months and I know the drill. I accept the mission, leave station and head to the system to commence the courier job. I'm flying a Dominix that is 3 weeks old with lots of tech 2's on it. I'm in system, I point the Dom to the station where the job is, I initiate warp and then ... leave the computer and go downstairs to feed the cat colony in my backyard believing I was sending my Dom to a station. I return 15 mins later to find a pod in deadspace. WTF? I see red targets and in shock, I re-read the mission objective (which I skimmed the first time) only to discover that the pick-up location was in Deadspace and I had to pry the courier object from the cold dead hand of a serpentis. (there were several of them). Lesson learned. Always carefully read the agent report and never leave the computer unless absolutely certain that you are not sending your ship into battle. In other words, don't go AWOL.

To prove how pro I was at tanking, I fit my very first Maelstrom with a passive "tank" (I'd jsut read about how great a passive tank Drake is and thought a Maelstrom must be much more awesome at this). Two LSEe and two tech 1 passive hardeners. Jumped into the Serpentis version of The Assault, aggroed the room and died even before I could align out. I had had the Maelstrom for all of 5 minutes.

i was in a bomber flying around in branch. Few dudes were chasing me through several systems, a vaga pilot spotted me warping off to a belt, he followed me. I was cloaked of course and saw him looking for me in belt with drones out and all that.
I was aligned onto a distant celestial with no visual objects/roids in my way, 30 to the vaga as I was amusing a lot about the noob searching for a cloaky frig in nowhere, I thought... Then, apparently there was a pixel roid in my path, bumping and decloaking my ship; 20 seconds later I was in my pod :(
That was a sad story lol

Long long time ago, on my first low sec roam with some GENOs guys and corpies iirc, i was in a lowly caracal, we were sitting at a gate kinda figuring what to do, guy came along so i targeted and engaged, then burst into a ball of fire.....my first experience of GCC with gate guns....they slagged me to bits for that!

I was maybe a month or two into EVE, still stuck doing l2 missions. I had recently trained up for battlecruisers, so I got myself a shiny new Brutix to blast through l2 missions to get my standing up quicker. I go to the mission site and there's a few frig rats coming at me. I think this is going to be really easy. Anyways, one warp scrambles, another webs me... I think no big deal, until... I go to click my turret buttons. WTF they're gone??!!! I try outrunnning the frigs but I was webbed, couldn't warp out, tried rebooting thinking it was a client glitch, totally forgot about the function keys, with a red face I asked for assistance from my corp mates but none were nearby. Didn't realize I hid my buttons accidentally... So i sat there staring helplessly as my poor Brutix on its maiden voyage was slowly nibbled to death by 3 frigates!!!

Took my Navy Geddon out for a test cruise and came across a pirate Mega beating on some nub in a cruiser.
So just as the cruiser pops i start laying into the Mega..his armour drops n drops and finally he pops.
So i start slo boating the 12k or so to his wreck to see what he has dropped, then i noticed local bump, 3 of his corp mates jump into system..a BB, cane and harb on dscan..
No worries i think, just warp to SS, my plated pig of a ship starts to crawl around..and bounces off the cruiser wreck..
Arg im thinking..align planet..ship drags its sorry ass the other direction..and bounces off the BS wreck..
I realise im a geddon shaped pinball between 2 wrecks, and any second 3 ships are gonna land on me looking for blood..
Was a painful death as the BB had me jammed and the Bc`s slowly pecked me to death
God i hate going out that way..

Just last night is the first one comes to mind. I know better than to do this, but our gatecamp got hit by a force too large to handle, and we had to gtfo. I didn't catch the fleetwarp because lo and behold, I was warping to another tactical, but when I did gtfo, I made the noob mistake of warping to 0 on the planet that we had a safe near.
Cue me dropping out of warp right in the middle of a red blob. I quietly refitted my hurricane and tried to slink back unnoticed.

Pretty new to pvp, but doing well at missions/exploration, I bought a Worm, fitted it with a coreli A-type 1 mn AB, and some shield tank and a point. Got a hulk on a can flip, got a destroyer by stealing from one of his wrecks in high sec, and then.... I got my share of the explosions.....
Was going to hook up with a buddy of mine, he's going to fly his SB and use his alt to scout a couple low sec systems and find us something BC or BS sized to kill... So while I'm waiting for him, i go outside Rens to play around some, And became a really stupid target. Was a Ferox outside with a can "1v1 BC" so I'm like F it, this thing is fast and my drones can probably eat on a Ferox, if he hits me hard I'll AB away and warp out real quick. I wanted to give the ship a little test against a bigger target to see what it could do.
So I grab his can......Nothing......orbiting him...... nothing......nothing..........nothing...........orbiting BOOOM BOOM BOOOOOOOM before I eve realized what shot me I was popped, in my newbness I didn't realize the Ferox was just bait, while I'm orbiting him, watching for him to turn hostile, he was leading me further and further away from the station, then warped in his Harbringer right on top of me and instapopped me.
The best part, not only did I lose my faction frig, and a faction AB, I also had some faction armor modules in my cargo that I had meant to drop inside the station from a recent exploration adventure. Total loss was 115 mil according to the killmail. Learned a pretty hard lesson and the guy got real lucky as my AB and a couple of the armor modules dropped for him. Think it was like 60 mil worth of modules that dropped, give or take? So Props to that guy on a successful bait and kill on a noobish pilot who got a little over confident in his faction frig, lol.

Ratting in a Ishtar in Venal in a duel repper perma setup. Forgot to turn on reppers while flipping through contracts, saw I was going to go in structure, but could not turn on a repper in time cause I had a window open that kept any of my mouse clicks on my modules from working.

warp stabbed battle badger (16K EHP) bumped off the station by a vaga, I tried to go back to undock instead of just warping off ... for a >20 seconds it took vaga to kill me :/

A Machariel whilst missioning,
Not even aware that you could be scanned out in deadspace I got pointed by an Arazu, and then had to sit there while he called in enough of his mates to actually kill the ship. He got the .6mill SB, I got my Mach replaced, on the basis that the Arazu (back then) was one of the ships that don't show up on your overview unless you change it.

Two great losses spring to mind; both on an alt, so don't bother searching for the incredibly embaressing killmails:
1) First orca, about 30 minutes after I bought it for about 600mil. I was in a high sec system, heading back to another high sec system. I right clicked the gate, clicked 'set first waypoint' pressed autopilot and went afk.
About 15 to 20 mins later I came back to my PC and saw the structure of the orca dropping slowly. I realised I'd accidentally set a waypoint to a low sec system. The single - i think it was a BC - that was attacking me must have been laughing his ass off. I was still about 5km from the gate when the structure finally gave in and the ship popped.
2) I'd been sorting out all my blueprints in our corp pos, just before going off on a battle I knew I wasn't bringing a ship back from. I set the warp point, and dragged the container back into the corporate hanger. Or so I thought. I must have been out of range, as when I got popped, I started geting mails linking me to the kill. The killboard of course interpreted every BPC as a BPO, and gave a loss of 12 bil. Thankfully it was only around 1 bil lost, but still a pretty expensive lesson.

Dragging and dropping guns (meaning to just click) while in combat is pretty special. especially when you don't realize you've done it and wonder why the enemies shields are not going down.
