Oh come on ... Have you never been to jita and viewed the local chat? You can't be a marketer and never visited jita... The scams are in line with the very nature of this thread.

I know what Jita local looks like, but I fail to see the comparison here.
Or are you saying that scammers in Jita, are providing 120% collateral? Or interest? Or heck, even just paying back what they scammed?

why not do a search on raw23. I think any questions you have may get answered pretty easily. Hell, I'm just a part time lurker and I would give him half my wallet for a decent interest rate right now.

I'll see Ji's and raise him a
I'm not sure at all what the issue here is (there is no good cause involved - I am borrowing money at 3% to lend it at a higher rate, not to lend it for free) so I'll just say that this would be about the least well conceived scam in MD history if it was a scam. I have previously held 40bil unsecured; since I did not walk off with that it would make very little sense to walk with less money now, especially given that this bond is highly collateralised (the collateral is technetium, so it's actually closer to 150% collateral since the price rise). I suggest you read more carefully before calling scam in the future.
@Rachel - Thanks for the vote of confidence! But only half your wallet? I'm hurt

Interest received, thanks!
Just out of curiosity; are "we" hit by the BB/T4U bus in any way?

Good question. No, there's no fallout from Bobby/T4U as I didn't hold any of his debt apart from 5 token shares as part of a share collection. Whilst I can't say I saw T4U coming, I didn't really trust Bobby as an investment prospect because of his explicit statements of support and admiration for scammers. This was compounded by the more serious crime of offering pretty awful returns, regardless of one's risk assessments.
In general, investors in my bonds shouldn't have any issues even if some of my investments were to take a hit as I always retain hard assets to the value of the bond. For investors to have any problems I would have to be wiped out in my investments, which in various forms are in the c. 70 area (admittedly most of those eggs are in one basket), and suffer from a massive hit to all my asset holdings, and, in the worst case scenario, the character market would have to crash, as I have 30+bil in toons as my last resort financial reserve. A perfect storm could do it in theory but since my wealth is significantly higher than the value of the bonds I issue it would take a really bad run to cause any real problems.
One issue I haven't prepared for adequately is the hit by a bus scenario so I'm trying to work out something on that at the moment.

Just letting the investors know the supplied collateral by RAW23 has had a significant price change.
The collateral now well exceeds the minimum 12b and is now worth closer to 20b isk. Just a heads up, figured it would make the investors happy.

RAW,
Let me know if you can arrange for somebody to buy up my share on the next interest payment. I'm going to be re-allocating a lot of capital. I will still be staying on as the 3rd party.

Grendell - Many thanks for the investment and for the ongoing 3rd party service. I'll cash you out at the next interest payment.
I haven't decided for sure yet whether to keep this bond running beyond the original 3 month length as I haven't quite worked out what kind of burdens my new job and commute are going to put on me. However, I plan to make this decision within the next ten days or so. In the event that I do keep the bond running I will give priority to Lost Hamster's reservation as a replacement for Grendell as he is a previous investor and narrowly missed getting in on the first round of this bond.
My apologies to Aishwarya. I will, though, put you on the priority list for any future reservations in this bond or any other future bond.

I've given this a bit of thought and this bond will be continuing. I will, however, be seeking to change the terms of the bond with the agreement of the bond holders (or, technically, close and then restart the bond). With the recent rises in the price of Technetium its sell order value is in the 65k range now. The collateral consists of 350k units, giving a sell order value of just under 23bil covering the secured 10bil section of this bond. I would like to withdraw half of the collateral in order to give myself some additional flexibility (actually, I'd like to withdraw it all ). Please let me know whether this is acceptable.
@LostHamster - when I next pay the interest on the 7th of October please send your 5.5bil investment direct to Grendell. There is no need to complicate things by passing it through me.
In other news: earlier in the thread I mentioned that I had an additional 10bil in unsecured loans from flakeys (in addition to his 10bil in this bond). These will be repaid by the 7th of October. I also currently have a further 20bil in secured loans from flakeys. These have at least another month to run.
I will provide a brief report on my investments when I pay out the next batch of interest.

Imho you should switch to liquid yet utterly stable collateral, not something so involved in speculation that you either risk losing by not selling it now or (if it was the case) to lose collateral value on something that implodes (example: Robotics).
I have an idea about two new kinds of quality collateral, if you want I'll detail about them further. Assuming you don't want to stick with using capital parts BPOs that is. - Auditing & consulting

I'm not really worried about losing out by not selling now and nor do I think there is much risk of the collateral losing value for the investors, I'd just rather have the excess collateral in hand for extra flexibility (sell/rebuy options are one possibility; I might also think about switching out some of the non-technetium collateral on my 20bil secured loan with flakeys for some of this; I could also use the excess to finance another secured loan; none of these are plans at the moment, I'm merely trying to think ahead and keep my future options open). Basically, I'm just not too keen on having my hands tied by having 10bil of stuff locked up when it doesn't need to be.
I'd certainly be interested in hearing your suggestions for collateral, though.

Sounds like a prime time to request half the collateral, sell it on the market, then pay off the 10b bond and sell the rest.

The market hasn't reached the point I want yet. I expect it to rise on average by more than 3% per month for a few more months yet.

Due to a number of reasons, I have chosen to close out the secured portion of this bond early. Next month's nterest plus the initial investment have all been returned. The reasons are: 1. No responses to my request to withdraw half the collateral.
2. The Technetium market moving much faster than I had anticipated, making it more important that I get my grubby mitts on the collateral.
3. The decisive factor, though, was flakeys computer breaking (damn you Acer!!!) whilst he holds another 25-30bil of my stuff as collateral, including the rest of my tech.
So, sorry for misleading anyone who wanted to remain invested. If you want to send the isk back to me and lodge it in the unsecured portion of the bond at 3% please feel free.
Thanks for the investment and for helping me make a bit of extra cash whilst my speculation stocks matured!
