I've been playing for a year now, and coming to the forums for insight risks a real deadening of my enjoyment of EvE. The glazed-eyed, slump shouldered 'i know everything' attitudes, especially from MMO customers who pretend expertise when they are CUSTOMERS...

Im not CCPs biggest fan, nor do I consider myself one. I consider myself a customer, I choose to play eve because despite its faults it still pretty good. Like going to a restaurant you enjoy despite the fact you know one of the waiters is a total ****.
I say if you don't like it LEAVE. Its that simple. Vote with your wallet. If your just being a junvinile attention seeker you could at least raise a legitimate concern. That is all.

Oh sure the game will be 'fixed' in 18 months. Most of us won't want to stop training skills in the meantime. So that's a lot of payments we got to make to wait for the game to be 'fixed'.
Its like financing a car and you take it for repairs at the dealer and they say "You car will be ready in 18 months." Meanwhile you think now I got to wait and pay for 18 months for something that should not have been a problem to begin with.
There's also always the chance you show up 18 months later and they tell you "Sorry buddy. We ran into a little trouble. You'll have to come back again sometime next year."
If you financially support a business with a modus operandi like this, you get what you deserve really.
The problem is that the MMORPG community is too demanding of their games and there are always groups wanting tons of different things. Unless CCP can release enough content to please -everyone- all at once, they'll never get out of this cycle.

Thats the most terrible thing. Nothing will be fixed in 18 months. Oh no. CCP said that they might start thinking about fixing stuff at that time, so no real fixes for over two years at lest. Thats why we should be worried and raise as much voice as we can.

The player community is too tight to be broken by another heap of ****.
It will endure mounds and mounds more. Eventually it will break, when a fresher sandbox is placed beside everyone... but i don't see one coming that could tip this community off its stained sneakers just yet.

Now when you get back we can discuss just how "unpolished" EVE is.

Anarchy online is very polished, the only bug I have ever encountered is a door beeing not exactly placed.
*edit which I reported and was fixed in 3 days, with the next patch.

Uncharted Waters was basically Eve Offline of the 16 bit era.

I think it's the opposite, really.
If CCP would actually stick to one feature and see it through, they could release fewer features but make most people happy.
Instead they try to create a dozen new features at once and leave half of them broken. |

18 months till ccp starts focusing on the older content does not mean they will do nothing at all as far as general bug fixes in between though. Besides people will be off walking in stations and pew pewing in dust for most of that time so yet again it will have no real negative impact on subscriptions past us bitter old vets shaking our fists over fw and other stuff we want fixed. Tbh I would rather have that stuff worked on now but the reality of the situation is that ccp literally put all its development eggs into incarna and dust and has nothing left to use until they are done with both.

So wait. You are telling me to go play a free to play game and then compare how awful its content is commpared to EVE?
