Seriously though, the *****ers always get heard the most, but they also are the ones that usually do not have people going above and beyond for them

And the devs are working hard. Pirate arcs were just fixed and it was pointed out to me earlier that engine colors have been corrected, text has been fixed and if you own an Impoc or tourney ship, you can see where the turrets go now, amongst other things.
The OP is right, and in particular so is this chunk here. From all I've been able to see of the dev replies, posts, blogs, etc, they care. They listen. They're not stupid enough to take seriously everything they see on the forums, but they read them anyway. And most importantly, they seem to be spaceship nerds just like the rest of us. If there's any whining to be done it should be targeted at the suits who are responsible for the "business direction" rather than game design/development.

Nicely written OP.
However criticism is needed for the game to evolve, now I'm not saying that we should go on the forums and whine every time someone blows up our ship with "ILLEIGAL TACTIKS!!!1"
Keep up the good job CCP, EVE is more fun than ever to play!

I'm pleased to see the responses I've gotten so far have been largely free of trolling, and looking around the forums today I've seen a lot of participation from CCP on the boards, too. Far more than usual, actually. It's an encouraging sign and I hope it continues. Thanks everyone!

Try working for any level of government  . You're screwed even by your best intentions. For some reason people still think that organizations consisting of and run by people should be flawless. I feel for CCP.

Op has gotten it right I would have to say.
EVE-O forums has to be the biggest bunch of misinformed whining idiots. I mean like 90% of them really. It's a terrible forum. Even though I am disappointed with fleet lag, and some other game mechanics, constant fit throwing threads on the forums are ******ed and honestly I get sick of reading them.
I would venture to say that CCP is probably one of the best game development companies out there considering the fact alone that they involved their player base by posting devblogs like Zulu's most recent. Most companies wouldnt give you the time of day. I am not sucking up here, it's just a fact... I think it's cool that CCP does this.
Even if I dont particularly like what CCP is doing, whining about it just makes me look like a 12 year old. Honestly, I'm suprised CCP dont just scrap the game saying: `Screw you guys, we're going home`. If EVE ceased to exist then people would really be `WTF!`.
People just need to STFU, and play the game. If they have a problem, make a constructive thread about it. All trolling should be removed from the forum, and duplicate threads reguarding the same issues should be deleted as well. Important issues should be stickied for continued discussion or even put in their own forum as sticky so people dont continue to constantly dilute constructive discussion on the main forum with mindless drivel.
Finally, the majority of the crowd that plays this game is supposed to be of the higher level maturity. Reading the forums you wouldn't think so.
TL;DR
OP is right, people need to grow up.
