So I get the "important - storyline" offer, and complete part one . . . problem is, I think I saw in my journal that this mission comes in three parts.
I'm not getting an offer for part two, so my question is: is this a bug, or did I hallucinate?

Materials for war is a one part mission to simply supply the agent with a required quantity of ore

You're hallucinating.
That storyline is a single mission storyline, however there are five versions of it; one for each level of mission. Each version asks for a different type of ore. If I remember correctly, it's Veldspar for L1, Scordite for L2, Omber for L3, Kernite for L4, and either Hedbergite or Hemorphite for L5 (never done L5's, someone correct me on this one).

I have run this same story-line mission 5 times now, all on level 4 and with the same agent (who I have a 8.4 standing with currently.) Each time I've only received 0.8 faction standings increase, is there a way to get a higher standings increase beyond training skills? The first storyline mission I ever completed (it was either a L1 or L2) I received an 8% standings increase. I thought the more missions you complete and the higher your standings the higher the increase. Or do I need to go to another regular mission agent and increase my standings with them to get a reference to another storyline agent?

It's just your luck with the agent giving ****ty storyline missions which in turn give ****ty standing because they are so easy and simple.

...er has it occured to you that the standings reward is a direct result of how we, the player base, do the mission?
That aside, I'm just as happy with a +4 implant.

Does anyone know the full tree of missions for storylines? I think i had everything from veldspar to kernite. Last thing I had was a transport for some 50.000m3 cargo. Would wonder to know whether there would be a way to avoid getting faction missions instead of denying them.
As I get it you get the better storylines the better your faction standing is?

Which storyline you get is completely random. You might get Materials for War Prep once, then A Special Delivery (the 50k m3 one), then The Insorum Hijacking twice, then your luck runs out and you get MfWP 5 times in a row.
MfWP is by far the worst for gaining faction standings, while ASD and TIH will both get you about +8%.
