So, the weather station nearby (let's just say "NW Romania" and leave it at that) allegedly reported 30 Celsius (86 F) recently today, but the thermometer outside my window in the shade side of the building says 34 Celsius (93+ F), and my room (with at least 500W constant power usage and corresponding heat being pumped out of the electronics) is facing westwards... so... ahem... ouch.
Hell of a day to not have active air conditioning in the house (and a passively cooled video card, 100+ Celsius if I start EVE is guaranteed within minutes... my PC is now basically idle and vidcard temp is hovering around 75 Celsius, while the CPU is around 41 Celsius).

It was a lot hotter yesterday in the UK, West Midlands. My overclocked i5 cores were around 65-73C now on a cooler day they are around 52C.

It's actually cooling down a bit around here (southern Sweden), and if we're very very lucky we'll even get some rain this weekend. Yay!
28.4 atm which is way hotter than I'd like, but I've had worse. Good thing I like staying up at night when it's cooler and don't have any real problems sleeping when it's really hot.
But yeah, the weather in Europe right now is ****ed up. First we get the coldest winter in decades and now we have to endure this... Well, I guess it balances out, statistically speaking...

Oh yeah? Well you can keep your bloody heat, we've had quite enough of it over here! You should be used to it anyway!

Edited by: Vogue on 21/07/2010 14:49:58 I have very fair skin that just burns instead of getting a tan. Here is a pic of my neck from just being in bright sun light for 8 hours with no sun tan cream. This was eight years ago.

Cycled 30 miles on Sunday and forgot the sunscreen. Got blisters on my forehead and a white line round the back of my neck where the skin folded from looking up all the time. Youch! Didn't even realise I had burnt till I got home.
And that was only 25 deg C with some cloud. |

confirming 95+ degrees f, with 70%+ humidity.
Yay Florida!
for the record, we AC our house down to 80 or so. Anything less and we would start freezing.

Anyone else having trouble getting sleep in this heat?
I'm okay when sitting, but as soon as I lay on a bed and lose 50% of my heat radiator area, I'm too hot to be comfortable.

Your complaining about 93+? That is nice compared to some places I have lived. Try living somewhere where the temp regularly gets to 100+ in the shade. I've even lived somewhere were the temp would hit 112-115+ on some particularly nice days.
Though it really wasn't that bad because it was a dry heat.
Some places I lived only got to between 90-98 or so but the the humidity was always around a wet 70+ percent. Which always made hot days worst.

The temperature outside my house is the same temperature as your CPU (105 Farenheit/41 Celsius).
