i was doing a mission in umokka in my drake tonight and i got scanned out 3 times in ONE hour! wtf? they came in to steal my salvage and loot, but whatever i just let it go. my complaint really is just the ease of which this is done. the barrier for entry is so low it may as well not exist. people are making scores of money with little sp, no risk, and no work because i do it all for them. this is so out of wack that i am convinced it needs to change. /sign if you agree.

If someone is in your mission that you don't like being there, simply warp out. They have to stay and die to rats or leave. If they come back, warp out again. Only thing you can do really.

I feel sad that the ninja seems to tank my mission better than I could
That said, missions are more fun when there is a tengu, two probes and a begging destroyer around, as well as smack in local. *ah motsu*

Salvage doesn't actually belong to you but if people are stealing your loot you always have the option to shoot them.

Working as intended. Drakes with shield extenders have a sig radius the size of a small planet. If you don't want to get ninja salvaged, fly something a little less easier to probe out and/or move to a less crowded system. Or just fit some salvagers yourself and compete with the ninjas for the goodies. - - - Dian'h Might - C&Ps resident "internet kleptomaniac" |

People are still ninja looting after the loot nerf? Wow. I can't believe it. There's 40% less value now than there was before Tyrannis in mission loot. As a former ninja looter, I really feel bad for those guys. But, not nearly as much as I do for people who run missions ad nauseum.

The only reason they are scanning out your mission is not that they want your salvage. They only want to bait you into shooting them when they loot your wrecks and then they will return in PvP ships and ready to blow up your PvE fitted drake.
Regardless what is happening and as mad as you might be, never engage another player in a PvE ship. Have a PvP ship prepared at station, or call backup from your corp.

Apart from mining and mission running, ninja salvaging is the worst isk per hour occupation... So scores of isk might be overestimating a bit... Pretty much like saying you went to the moon when you actually just jumped over a fence.

CCP wants PVP oriented people to have fun. They don't want PVE oriented ones to have fun.
Also, griefing is promoted above all else in this game. E.g., scams are allowed, station griefing is allowed, gate camping is allowed, mission scanning etc.

If you think that it is easy and fast isk with no risk and everyone can do it, perhaps you need to consider a career change? Unless you don't want easy and fast isk with no risk?

First of all: 'Free' salvage to build your PVP rigs is always nice, loot nerfed or not. Secondly: Quit calling gameplay as intended griefing .. it makes you look like a moron and sparks useless discussions about what is or isnt griefing.
Griefing is not allowed as per game rules .. try petitioning people stealing your salvage, and keep us informed ========================== Nothing is true, everything is permitted. ========================== |

Agree entirely. Although even BEFORE the nerf I never really considered it a real isk supply. I just did it for a giggle and to laugh at people complaining about it. I did try to bait people by taking loot but I was never lucky enough to get anyone to fall for it.
I certainly never made a lot of isk out of it that is for sure. ------------------------------------------

If you really feel ninja salvagers are a problem try and find a agent in a less populated system, the times i do mission i rather have a lower quiality agent ( example difference between a quality 12 or a quality 16 is in my opinion neglible) in a empty system than in the main missionhubs, still doesn't guarantee you will be safe thou

Not really, some tend to have PvP ships in their hangar to protect themselves against greedy missioners, but that is not of any considerable help since it's way too easy for any farmer to shoot and kill ninjas and then dock for the rest of the night remaining unpunished. ---[center] Please resize your signature to the maximum file size of 24000 bytes. What? It's not your salvage? GTFO... :D
ofcourse its my salvage when I kill that rat, its my loot too...
ofcourse I get concorded if I try to smartbomb 10 small frigs around me and OH SNAP theres one moron ninjasalvager cloaked just next to me \o/
If ur so bad at this game that you have to NINJASALVAGE for isk... dude... just delete the game and go to wow, there is alot of free gold everywhere!!!

What? lol... u need some +5 logic implants
The real reason why they scan mission runners out is.. they hope u get concorded if you smartbomb em - they collect ur 3 bil cnr loot and win.
or any other way - you just click overview and shoot at rat (ops.. it wasnt rat) ..

And none of those are a bad thing. Nobody said highsec was safe, or that PvP was completely optional in this game. Even in terms of scams, it's player vs player in that only the stupid ones fall for most of them.
Be smart about it. You either learn to avoid things like gate camps, scams, ninja looting/baiting, or you get mad and emoragequit over it.

Game mechanics says it isnt ... you dont get flagged for salvaging wrecks you didnt create.
