Originally by: Doomfist Edited by: Doomfist on 25/07/2010 09:35:46 I was in corp and this guy (who I dont wanna name) joined the corp he joined me on mission waited till I had NPC on me then attacked me
I then got a private message from another person in another corp warning me about this player but it was too late (and when I went to kick the player from the Corp it would not let me (it said I couldnt cause he was still in space)
Well after I took enough damage half into armor ...the dirty bum of a corpmate wants 400mil to stop (I didnt think he would stop as if hes low enough to ransom a corp mate he aint ever going to let me go) so I fight in my mission ship against his pvp ship and I actually come out on top
Thank god the npcs where not enemies abound 5 or forget it id been really poor this morning
Is there anything that can be done to prevent this kinda thing?
I dont mind the can flipping and stealing and low sec thing but the one player that should not be able to attack you is your own corp mate (and for a whole bunch of reasons)
I wanted to put a bounty on this traitor of the highest order but the game would not allow it cause he did not have a neg security rating ( I wanted to be able to tag him as a security risk
If this whole attack gank your corp mate is a feature I think its my least favorite and in my opinion should be changed next patch
As the self appointed quality control checker for these types of posts, I will evaluate this post. Does this have the required parts of a C&P tear-filled whine-fest post?
1. Accusation (he stole my stuffz); not quite, but 'he blew me up in a mission' is a close second. I'll allow it. - check
2. No proof whatsoever - check (didn't even give the guys name)
3. Sense of superiority and hurt feelings; with no desire to take any sort of responsibility on him/her self for what happend (I'm a victim; wah) - check
4. Demand that CCP change something - check
5. Many incorrectly spelled words - check (although not nearly as bad as others, I'll still give credit)
(are you currently recruiting for more members? I might know somebody who would be interested)

We all know the rule "Don't fly what you can't afford losing", but i would not want to lose in such a way anything even if i can afford losing it.
You can never know everyone in your corp that well, let alone that some corp are huge.
This is a real problem. I know it prevents ppl from joining big corps, because a 3-4 months old noob can attack and kill you in any place, in any ship. Imagine a PVE fitted BS, or even a hauler beeing attacked in high-sec by a 5 months old "corpie".
I think the solution is easy for this one. Make it that the player can deside if corp fire is allowed or not. Like an on/off switch. If a corpmate tries to shoot, they should be warned, like as if they attacked a nautral. If they do attack, they should be given a few seconds to stop firing, and if they don't then concord should come in.

As posted elsewhere any changes to EVE should be made to diversify the options to the players involved, in line with the sandbox nature of EVE. This change would remove the ability to infiltrate a corp with no negative impact. Perhaps if the corp was forced to pay a premium tax to concord for this then it would be acceptable - however the day infiltration is removed from EVE is a very sad day for the game.
Remember corp theft stories have gained EVE a lot of players and actually appeared in some gaming magazines. There are a lot of famous EVE stories out there based around these mechanics and I rather like the GHSC and would like for them to still have a business.

Personally, I'd rather not get concorded next time I go to RR a corpmate and accidentally shoot him.
Screw your whines, do background checks you lazy bastard. ♥
