I was checking the forum and found a happy RvB member posting about RvB and the replies are always the same, bla bla annoying RvB recruiting members, bla bla bla.
Please go ffff yourselves and your pathetic undermining of RvB, if you dont like people posting about RvB dont read it, simple thing, just dont click in the post when key words such as "RvB" are in the title.
RvB is a successful PvP operation that 99.9% of the players give a thumbs up, thats why there are so many posts about it, because its a great place to be, a great place to learn about almost all PvP related stuff, plenty of warfare and tactics there, this place is a must for any player who wants to improve fast their pvp skills but its not a school.
I left RvB 6 months ago and returned 2 months ago just to find it even better than it was, plenty of pvp, plenty of fun.
So I hope a lot of people are now annoyed because of one more RvB post, I love you to.

Nice another person who's only comment is "This is a recruitment thread."
I don't know what is more significant. The amount of people that want to say good things about RvB or the amount of people that have an issue with RvB related post?

rvb is crap lolololol bandwagon hate against rvb blah blah blah balh recruitment is that way yawn.
I have had the time of my life in Red Vs Blue =)
It got a bit boring after 6 months of shooting the same people and then no-one engaging my rupture, but that kinda thing will happen eventually in a limited playerbase.
If you fancy yourself as a decent solo pilot - join one of the sides and give it a go! Its harder than it looks =)
RvB has more drama than Eastenders, and more people willing to give you a fight than the glory belt in Amamamke!

I have no problem with RvB. I sometimes send people looking to get into PvP in their direction and most seem to like it.
What I do have a problem with is obnoxiously creating a thousand threads on the forum that all say basically the same thing, many of which are just blatant attempts to drum up conversation about RvB. I've seen at least one thread that was literally a copy/paste of a thread done a couple weeks earlier. This is annoying and honestly gives RvB a bad name. The membership looks like immature idiots, and the leadership looks like its desperately trying to keep recruitment up. Which is sad, as its not like RvB needs it anyway, its pretty universally known. Stop making a mockery of yourselves.

This.
Also, I think some one said (in an RvB thread ) that RvB's recruitment post is like 2 years old and inactive. I wonder why?? -

I stand corrected.
I swear it was an alt though because it was immediately responded to by the head of Blue stating to check out their public channel. Which, by the way, you would have to guess their channel name, find it in their recruit post, or ask for it somewhere as it is not in either corp descriptions, nor in either ceo's bio.
Also, when I read Warfare and Tactics I don't want to have to sift through a bunch of RvB and RvB potential posts. Yes this may be a 'bump' for RvB but this thread so far has nothing to do with Warfare and Tactics. It needs to be moved to GD where it should have started.
TL;DR Warfare and Tactics is not RvB and Tactics. -

You know the thing is a forum is a naturally democratic place. The stuff more people find interesting tends to rise to the top while the nonsense that no one is interested filters down.
Also I will refer you to the forum description "The home for PVP in EVE: Factional Warfare, 0.0 campaigns, low sec skirmishes and empire wars."
RVB is an empire war that exists for no other reason than an excuse to PVP in EVE.
It's also a good place for people looking to get into PVP to go to learn basic PVP skills from being calm under fire to the agression mechanics and ship capabilities.
And don't give me that crap about the problems you have with our recruitment methods that's just emo nonsense. I suppose you whine about adverts on TV too instead of just DVRing and fast forwarding through them like everyone else does. Of course we take every opportunity we can to gain viability and get new pilots.
RVB lives and breaths on new blood. We need a constant stream of new pilots to replace all the ones who leave. RVB was never meant to be a permanent home it's just a way station for people to pass through on the way to other places.
People are curious about RVB others who have tried it and like it want to share their pleasure, Then when the trolls come out to complain about "recruitment threads" I can correct them then take that opportunity to give people accurate information about RVB which might convince them to give it a try.
GD is pretty damned carebear ridden and the recruiting forum has an extremely low signal to noise ratio (though I do actually encourage people to post the glowing reviews into the official recruitment thread to keep it high on the list without me being the only one bumping).
So it's not surprising that people would post about RVB in the forum dedicated to "PVP in EVE: Factional Warfare, 0.0 campaigns, low sec skirmishes and empire wars"
Now like I said Forums are naturally democratic. You want to see these types of post disappear. Stop responding to them.
Or even better post some compelling content of your own on what you think are appropriate subjects.
Fortunately the whiners aren't smart enough to figure this out so thanks for the free bumps.

Tinker didn't get booted because reds whined he got booted because he broke the rules and went on a podding spree.
Simple as that.
Oh and thanks for the bump.

Skex, who are you? All the Reds did was whine about him CONSTANTLY, even when they made it so the CEOs FORCED him to not fly faction ships/use faction mods. Then they whined when he kicked their asses in a Rupture, time and time again. It was quite sad, really. Oh well, staged PvP will always be just that.

Doesn't change the fact that he was a member right up until he got the boot for podding several people (in what he claimed to be Emo rage) Of course I think he was just bored and wanted to go out with a bang.
He hung around for another month or two until the day guys managed to snatch his Mach then headed off to null.
As far as who I am I'm one of the Red Team leaders and I was around when Tinker got the boot and when he did his little 3rd party dec too. Hell I even lost a pod to him once (you can read the story here under the most embarrassing loss thread.
And so what if some people whine there are always people who whine. I do the same thing I do for threads I'm not interested in. I ignore them (unless it's more fun to mock them).
As to staged PVP. You do get that this is a VIDEO GAME right? Everything here is staged.

Why don't you stop pretending you're the hall monitor?
If the mod's thought RVB was off topic in a forum devoted to PVP in EVE including high sec wars I'm sure they'd move them.
Edit: oh yeah thanks for the bump

I noticed in the title to this thread that it is about RvB. When I clicked on it, I expected to find a discussion about RvB...and, no surprise here, that's what it turned out to be. Now, I hate to point out the obvious to the trolls and whiners, but if you don't want to read about RvB, you might want to resist the temptation to click a thread about RvB.
For the record, I've been in RvB for a while and I think it's lots of fun. Your mileage may vary.

But EVE has never been short of fools.

When I see Red v Blue, I see a lot of potential, and a really good idea. I wish it would be re-evaluated though.
In what way?
Well, I'm a silly Roleplayer, and when I see the two sides represented as two parts of some long lost government or faction eternally at war for some weird reason, I sigh. It could be so much better!
To those who run the RvB, I ask you to consider this:
In the universe of EVE, Combat sports are insanely popular. Mindclash, an 'avatar' arena game, is known everywhere, and SplinterZ, a team-based Mech combat league, is to the Caldari State what the FIFA World Cup is to Earth.
The Alliance Tournament, where capsuleers put their ships on the line for billions in Prizes, has become a recent ratings juggernaut to the media outlets on all EVE worlds.
Imagine, if you will: RvB as a Combat League.
Aspiring pilots, seeking fortune and fame, try to cut it in a merciless contest of ability, the action being broadcasted 24/7 for all of the cluster to see. Excellent kills and epic battles become highlights for analysts to pick apart and comment on. Rising stars are highlighted and sought for high-profile interviews. 'Trades' between the two teams become the talk of the galaxy, as speculations on who will be worth who light up the airwaves. Successful pilots become huge celebrities, and their fans go all hooligan on each other when they happen to meet at the bar to watch the latest fight.
Outside of 'lol roleplay stuff', updates on the forums about these goings on would keep RvB in the eye of the EVE community, and make all of these 'clever ' recruitment posts unnecessary. Important or controversial developments could even be submitted as news, and make the front login page. Maximum visibility for the whole project. RvB could become a real institution in EVE.
I could go on and on...
Give it a thought, won't you? If this sounds interesting, and you'd like some help developing the idea, shoot me a mail sometime.

RvB has it's ups and downs. Personally I loved RvB, but has since gotten tired of the diffuse and constant changing leadership (two ceos for starters). I am hoping to get back with an alt some day though. :)
I do however resent any comment that rvb would have some kind of bad name. Well known pvp corps dec rvb because they want in on the fun between contracts or whatever, and RvB has seen many high-ranked and well known individual players as well.
