loganonekenobi	Posted - 2010.07.26 04:33:00 - [4] pressed enter too soon any way the questions is.... i have a lot of fun running in null sec and i have used various ships to rat with while trying to stay ahead of the corps, pvpers, evephiles, and gank squads. Its fun but i would like some advice on what would be a good solo bc/bs to be able to take down those 1.4 million bounty bs rats and still gtfo "am i using the term right" when i need to. Right now i'm hitting the drone skills hard but then after that a little more armor tanking then on to a weapon set. I also have to consider cost as i know eventually i will be killed but that's part of the excitement. I have around 11 mil skill points on various ships and tools so it wouldn't be hard for me to go any direction. I think the domi or the typhoon would do but advice from the" hard corp-mash-u-up like a spit ball and stick you to a fat girl" players would be helpful.

Less DPS but warp in at range with a Sebo fitted and life is good. Other rats the Ish has issues you really abuse the T2 Kin/therm resist bonus for these rats. A Domi if fit right can put around 800 dps with a tank that can solo havens/sanctums. A domi puts out the same drone dps as the ishtar, but you can fit 5x 350 II guns on the thing. You may want to swap the Mag stab for a cap power relay you lose 50 dps but your cap situation is alot better. I fit like this. So if you want to safely deploy your drones you will have to wait for them to agrro you. Or use sentries. Gun/missile ships warp in. Blast away, next belt.

Gavin Miner	Posted - 2010.07.26 18:57:00 - [12] if you have a lot of skillpoints in torps, heavy drones and matar armor tanking the phoon rocks. if you ahve a lot of skill points in sentries, rails and gallente armor tanking the Domi rocks. if you have none of the above, the domi is a lot faster to train for. all that said, I love me a maelstrom.

Blast away, next belt. --------------------- true but I can count on one hand the number of times I've had to scoop my drones because the spawn dies so fast, I've never lost a drone. Also if you launch drones as soon as you land they auto shoot and quite often kill things before you have targeted them. the last advantage is when you have jamming ships, as long as your drones are directed at eh right target they won't get jammed when you do which makes some of the gurista spawns a lot less time wasting Personally I love the phoon but not for this since seige is too limiting in range and they take so long to get there really it depends on your skills
