Just checking combat logs and I can see my gun damage (and that of whoever I'm up against).
But I'm relying more and more on drones. Is there a way to track drone damage?
Thanks

I've never seen a drone damage notification while in-game, so it wouldn't show up in the normal combat logs. As far as I know, if it doesn't show up there, it can't be tracked. There's a small chance that I'm wrong though. ---------- My typical ship fit:

just send drones to a corp mates of yours. he will get damage notifications. tell him to send them to you :)

Confirming that the only way to see your drone damage is to get the logs of your target. Sisi is a nice way to test this stuff out with a friend/alt.
Then again, why do you want to know? There's not much you can improve in general, sure you can bring an (extra) omnidirectional drone mod if you feel you need more tracking (always), but other than that everything will be situational.. should you have brought damage type x, is your target too fast for drone y, would drone z have survived those smartbombs etc.
This is why most people just rely on EFT for dps info, their experience for knowing that certain drones are generally 'best' and ecm drones are always nice to have..
All the above is prolly crap

What EFT doesn't give you is a rats or targets resists, the gallente drone line may be the highest dps drones. But when faced against angels which has a high thermal resistance the effective dps will be different. So pve wise it's also important to consider what drones to use based on the factions resistholes. EoM for exampel got sky high thermal resists making gallente drones less effective. Anyway this was just an example.
I have found out it is important to have all four drone specalizations trained pve wise, it allows you to adapt your own drones based on the mision. Just looking at the raw dps the drones does is a tough call to do since EFT doesn't have any resist numbers for factions/ships. Only way you are able to test effective dps (which i'm not even sure is possible) is to make a counterfit. Or go to SiSi and see what works best.

I'm not sure that that is what he meant but anyway I use this:

The numbers are slightly different but expressed as a % so can just be put in EFT rather than playing with a file.
Don't know which numbers are correct. |

Wrong profile, that's damage profile and not resist profile which i was talking about. I allready got that info plugged into my eft. But that is for what kind of damage you need to tank against.

Oops. You can get them from here then (Guristas for example):

Originally by: Keitaro Baka Then again, why do you want to know?
Two reasons:
- Balance out my fittings: If I'm getting 90% of my damage from drones, maybe I'll forgo the guns for NOS or something
- Compare the more exotic drone types: Federation Navy drones worth it? How about the augmented ones? Want to try to compare directly rather than wading through all the math
I guess the answer is that you can't know unless you're on the receiving end. Maybe I got to go get a friend on Sisi and we can trade drone damage logs.

The faction drones will not recieve bonuses from drone specalizations however, neither will the named ones.

Well that's pretty straightforward from the stats on the drones (also you should use neuts not nos, I like a 2x large neut, 2x med neut, 2x med smartie set up myself if you want to be annoying):
Drone ------ Ogre 1 -- Integrated -- FN Ogre -- Augmented -- Ogre II dmg mod ------ 6 ---------- 6 ------- 6.8625 ------- 7.92 -------- 7.92 dmg (T/K) --- 48 -------- 26/22 ------- 48 --------- 26/22 ------- 48 tracking ------ .3 ----------- .3 -------- .396 --------- .36 -------- .36 mwd speed --- 875 ------ 962.5 ------- 875 ------- 1155 ------- 1050 hp (total) --- 3540 ------ 3892.5 ----- 5388.75 ---- 6375 ------ 4248.75
[full lvl 5 skills] Same resists on all (no t2 resists for t2 drones sadly), same optimal, falloff, duration. Augmented drones are t2 drones, require the spec skill and therefore get the bonus from the skill, augmented drones are indeed the ones with the best stats.
However, FN ogres are reasonably cheap and a lot better than T1 ogres with over twice the shield and armour (most of an ogre HP is structure, which has no resists, so EHP of FN Ogre is highest of all ogres, the 4k structure on an Augmented ogre is just raw hp). The also have 10% better tracking than the T2 variants and over 30% better tracking over the other T1 ones.
Then there's the split damage types of the upgraded drones, the usefulness of the split types is quite situational and the output isn't higher than that of the original drones. With the upgraded drones you're paying for:
-split damage types -50% HP across the board -10% mwd speed
Now the pit damage type can lead to higher dps, but the mwd speed does lead to higher damage over time. If you only have 1 target though, this again is negligible. Seeing the price of Augmented/Integrated drones this is what you should conclude:
- FN drones are better than T1 and Integrated drones. Better HP, tracking and damage and the speed difference is negligible. - Augmented drones have a slight edge on T2, but if you want survivability for your drones get FN, if you need tracking get FN and if you don't have an isk printing machine just use T2 for damage since augmented drones are not worth the price. - And between T2 and FN, the damage difference even at spec 4 is just too big in my book, use FN in very special circumstances..
All the above is prolly crap
