Edited by: V2GBR on 21/12/2004 09:50:33 All ships have been increased in base hitpoint values for testing purposes of increased survivability and can be tested on Singularity. This does only affect player ships, NPC's would not get this change.
The change won't affect small / normal scaled PvP combat scenarios as dramatically as the hitpoints are increased by, most of these scenarios relay on out-caping your oponent. It will how ever affect the length of die-time in ganking scenarios where a target is not able to use his capacitor to counter the incoming damage; fleet combat, POS raids, pirate blockades & etc.Ęs. It will also affect survivability of smaller ships somewhat where they have more time to get in or out of range.

Surely this is an anti-ganker tweak? It won't effect piracy at all.
Seems like a good idea to me. Longer it takes to kill me, the more likely it becomes that I will be saved by a node crash. ______________________________________________

well, i think it will affect pirates, it will be easier to force run blockades whit that much HP. harder for the pirates to catch their pray- you will need a huge gang at the gates if you want to catch anything, forgett solo hunting, a ship equal to your size will simple just travel past you and jump unless you got miltiple webbers on him.

well, i think it will affect pirates, it will be easier to force run blockades whit that much HP. harder for the pirates to catch their pray- you will need a huge gang at the gates if you want to catch anything, forgett solo hunting, a ship equal to your size will simple just travel past you and jump unless you got miltiple webbers on him.

I think its a good thing, its about time battleship fights were more epic, and less dead within 20 seconds etc :)

Maybe, but I never thought of camping gates as piracy anyway. If you pirate away from gates / stations, if they can't warp they can't leave.
Besides, the destruction of your target is a sign of a failed attempt at piracy.

They are upping the HP, thats all. It won't take more firepower, just the same for longer.
