Edited by: Andreus Ixiris on 06/08/2010 01:46:35 It has come to my attention that certain unwholesome and untrustworthy individuals have attempted to besmirch the name of my corporation.
This isn't a press release, this isn't an "official statement", this isn't a "manifesto" or a "political communique". There are times for those, and now is not the time. This is simply what it is:
Mixed Metaphor does not, in any way, shape or form, knowingly or voluntarily support the Amarr Empire, the Amarr religion, its proponents, slavery or any institution loyal to any of the above.
We don't need to "prove" this. We don't need to "provide evidence" for this. Star Fraction would have us write lengthy discourses or painstakingly account for and justify every single statement each one of our members has ever made. We refuse to play by their rules. We invite anyone who in his own mind doubts our loyalty to the Federation to look at the facts and decide for himself. If you are unsatisfied with our denial, examine as many posts as you wish, in context, without bias. If you wish for outside assurances of our behaviour, Evanda Char of Re-Awakened Technologies, Electus Matari alliance, one of Mixed Metaphor's oldest and most trusted allies, has personally authorised me to list her and her alliance as people who will vouch for Mixed Metaphor's conduct. We remain confident that old friends from Ushra'Khan now in Damu'Khonde will do the same if called upon, as will our acquaintances within the ILF and Moira Vanguard.
We serve the Federation.
That is all. ----- Andreus Ixiris CEO, Mixed Metaphor

Star Fraction command staff, being haunted by opposition from all sides, has become quite paranoid and is starting to see plots and cooperations everywhere. All this paranoia is projected into one angst-gegner: 'the regressive Amarrian Imperialist'. If you are speak or act against the Star Fraction you must somehow be allied, supporting or a mouth-piece of that group.
I've always argued that anarchists cannot exist with something to rebel against, anarchism is a destructive philosophy, not a constructive one, the Star Fraction command staff has decided that the 'regressive Amarrian Imperialist' are *the* thing to fight against, and thus nearly everything they fight against they classify as such. ____

I disagree Merdaneth, and I disagree with you at several levels. The first is the supposition that Star Fraction are in fact, Anarchists, they are not in fact Anarchists, they are radical freedom fighters, but regardless of what they say, they are not anarchists, and from my looking into them, they have never been anarchists, they are enheduanni, which is to say, a malignant growth on the expansion of freedom and individual rights, they are a cancer within the liberal elements of the cluster.
I have worked with the Sisters all my life in order to create an environment of peace and freedom between all groups in the cluster, to expand upon person rights and create an era of acceptance and freedom for all human beings. Star Fraction are not working towards this goal of greater oikis, they are diametrically opposed to it, instead pursuing a goal of anoikis, where, in their minds, everyone would be free to do as they pleased, but in practice, in this state, it would more a state of take what you want.
Anarchy is a state of being, it is not a political movement. With anarchy comes an age of ordnung, of true order, which is to say voluntary order, people work together, and go about their lives, free of dispute and interference from any form of government, a lot like Syndicate, with each station having its own ideals, and its own representatives, but with everyone working together, because they know they will die if they don't, or that if they don't, the system will fall out of ordnung, into a state of verwirrung, the Oikis will fall apart, and it will be nothing but chaos.
Anarchy is not chaos, anarchy is order of the people. Star Fraction seems to believe that the two are one and the same, which they are not.

*ChipMo nearly faints with shock
Finally!! Someone gets it!!!
We fight for Free Space. We are true freedom fighters, some of us maintain an anarchic state of being but that is not the sum of what we are. You will see, it is usually people who know little of us that label us "Anarchists" without even really understanding what that is.
Bravo, excellent post. And be assured, we are under no illusions as to what we are.
Edit: Just to be clear, I am talking here about Arci's understanding of Anarchism, that of the fraction still leaves some to be desired. For example, we know exactly what we are fighting for - Free Space. etc etc. Still, I am just thrilled for some one out side the Star Fraction to actually grasp what Anarchism is really about and the difference from the Free Space we prescribe too (although, they are not mutually exclusive).

True, and in this, I think you're completely justified. He hates you, so you set him -10. his issue lies in your branding him as a slaver and an Amarr loyalist when he is clearly not one, he just seems the Amarrians as the lesser of two evils, with your alliance being the greater.

I have not actually branded him a slaver or an Amarr loyalist. I have called him an Amarrian boot-licker and lickspital cringer and I believe the quote on record proves this.

But it is well noted that such is Ixirus's hatred for the fraction it outweighs his hatred of both slavery and Amarrian Nationalism. Something the readers of this thread would do well to file away themselves for future reference.

We simply say that he supports Amarr loyalists when it suits him and this is plainly true according to his own words. That's what caused us to re-evaluate him and come to the conclusion that, yes, he is so hostile to us that he will favour slavers over we who fight slavery. It's quite simple.

You have been registered as an enemy of the Star Fraction not because we ever seriously expect to see you in space but because if we do one day make that astounding discovery we'd like the freedom to shoot you then and there rather than waiting for another full conjunction of the myriad stars 24 hours later. As I said earlier in the thread. I think it is quite telling that his hatred for the Fraction outweighs his hatred for slavery. But you are free to make up your own mind of course. If you believe he is in the habit of posting things on galnet that he doesn't believe to be true then I have to take your word for that but it hardly convinces me this is a trustworthy person we are talking about.
End of the day this is a whole lot of noise produced by a man who is upset to be set -10 by the Star Fraction as a direct consequence of declaring support for our mutual enemies in PIE Inc. and 24th Crusade.

I quite agree with your disagreement. I do think that in their search for 'something to believe in' their focus is now for a large part on those who dare to oppose them, and they attempt to lump everyone opposes them together under the 'regressive Amarrian Imperialist' label, be it as warrior, supporter oe mouthpiece.
I find it highly that ms. Constatine apparently sees MXD as an organization belonging to the cluster of 'regressive Amarrian Imperialists' while her own lover doesn't belong to this group, while it is clear for everyone else that the reverse would make much more sense.
However, it is interesting that perhaps in their quest for something to believe in, they are (either purposely or unconsciously) trying to aggravate as many parties as possible and generate more conflict. Judging from ms. Constatine statements, it sure seems that the 'regressive Amarr Imperialist' meme is quite effective and winning more and more converts while the years go by. ____

If Ixiris' comments regarding PIE and SF mark out Mixed Metaphor as apologists for the Empire, then does Able Citizen's remark on the NAQAM/PIE war of a couple of years back demonstrate SF's support for the Nation?
By your logic certainly.

Are you claiming that the Final Stand alliance are Amarrian Imperialists because they took part in the destruction of CVA providence and helped the Ushra'khan liberate those long benighted stars? You seem a bit deluded.
But to continue your anology I guess reverse-world works here because MXD have befriended I-RED who were as we all know CVA enforcers of slave-owning Providence. So I guess (to follow your logic).
Revan Neferis is a horrible slaver because she is part of Final Stand alliance that fought the CVA. Whereas I-RED are anti slavery because they supported the pro slaver CVA ... or something? Its like you are saying that CVA were actually not slavers at all and only those people that fought and destroyed them were Amarrians (in disguise).
Nah that can't be it, thats a bit insane.

To be fair I am also unaware of any actions Mixed Metaphor have made either
Then if Andreus and/or Mixed Metaphor haven't done anything to be considered an Amarrian loyalists. This entire standing change seems to be driven by personal feelings rather then good hard evidence. A one line quote made as a snarky remark towards you Jade isn't the best. Now if you had several threads of him kissing the boots of the Amarr well that's a bit more of a solid platform ;)

I think the definition for double standard you are looking for is best represented by your own posts in that same thread.

I mean by this same logic you managed to support both PIE Inc. And the Nation in the same thread. You change your colours faster than some species of desert lizard under a kaleidoscope!
Going back to the same thread (which is entertaining in its application to this current discussion). Some interesting quotes about your reputation there.
Originally by: Lyra Garris I know an old quote that says necessity is the mother of invention. I don't know about that, but Andreus here makes a strong case for the phrase 'Cowardice is the mother of duplicity.'
Still lets not get too far from the point.
This is still about your spoken support for PIE Inc. And so far you have done nothing but prove our point in this thread.

I read that tread just now, and took Mr. Ixiris' words to mean he hates both factions. In one line he hope Naquam destroy PIE, in the other, he hopes PIE destroys Naquam. Would not that mean he hope they will gun each other down?
At least, it would appear so from my viewpoint. Where I'm from, if two of your arch-enemies are fighting each other, you would hope they wipe each other out.

I am struggling to see the problem with an individual Star Fraction pilot wishing for a slaver corporation to be defeated.
It's hardly the same as the CEO of a corporation wishing for a slaver corporation to triumph in a war involving slavery.
Originally by: Able Citizen Despite my affinity for the Cartel, may the Nation be victorious.
Best wishes to Naquam
Able Citizen displays his anti-slavery principles in focusing on opposition to what was then most certainly the greater immediate threat to freedom out of the two concerned entities: an Amarr paramilitary corporation actively committed to fighting in support of slavery more than two years ago.
Originally by: Andreus Ixiris And another one of those rare wars were I'm actually rooting for PIE! Go Amarrians!
Andreus Ixiris trashes his anti-slavery principles and focuses on opposition to an alliance he hates so much so he is moved to cheer on slavers against people fighting against slavery a year ago, in the middle of an intense conflict between the Amarr and Minmatar.
The two cases couldn't be less alike. Hence me being happy to reproduce the quote from Able. If you're so happy with your words, perhaps you'll reproduce them and explain them.

Let me get this right; A member of Star Fraction, who are affiliated with the Angel Cartel, a known slaving entity, wishes for the Nation, another well known absolute-slavery entity, to win a war against an Amarrian Imperial corporation, PIE.inc, was this so?
One of your anti-slavery freedom-fighters, already on good terms with one slaver entity, cheers for another, arguably worse slaver entity, in their war against a third slaver-entity, and this is perfectly fine.
When I create a list of Nation supporters for their detriment, this is hypocritical because I was born a pure-blood Amarrian Imperial and are thus a slaver by the true meaning of the word, ergo with no right to say anything bad about Nation supporters because the Nation and the Empire both hold slaves.
When Andreus Ixiris cheers for an Amarrian corporation in a war between them and Star Fraction, this is wrong because as this corporation, PIE.inc, are slavers and Amarrian Imperials, this thus makes Andreus a slavery supporter, despite any action he may have taken to counter this claim. This act has 'trashed his anti-slavery reputation' due to one comment, possibly sarcastic.
Is this correct?

Jade, your desperate grasping at straws doesn't change the simple, sad reality.
There is no righteous revolutionary movement involved in this, no great cause to lord over us as justification. It's just part of your own personal ****ing match with someone you don't like, and a thinly veiled attempt to justify it under those vaunted freespace principles you love to crow about.
Grow up and admit to reality. You're no better off than the "Enemies of Freedom and other Regressive Nationalist Dogs, Race-traitors, Collaborators and Quislings" (Nice change of terms there, by the way, covering your arse after the fact) You're thug with a gun like the rest of us.
