Edited by: Andreus Ixiris on 06/08/2010 01:46:35 It has come to my attention that certain unwholesome and untrustworthy individuals have attempted to besmirch the name of my corporation.
This isn't a press release, this isn't an "official statement", this isn't a "manifesto" or a "political communique". There are times for those, and now is not the time. This is simply what it is:
Mixed Metaphor does not, in any way, shape or form, knowingly or voluntarily support the Amarr Empire, the Amarr religion, its proponents, slavery or any institution loyal to any of the above.
We don't need to "prove" this. We don't need to "provide evidence" for this. Star Fraction would have us write lengthy discourses or painstakingly account for and justify every single statement each one of our members has ever made. We refuse to play by their rules. We invite anyone who in his own mind doubts our loyalty to the Federation to look at the facts and decide for himself. If you are unsatisfied with our denial, examine as many posts as you wish, in context, without bias. If you wish for outside assurances of our behaviour, Evanda Char of Re-Awakened Technologies, Electus Matari alliance, one of Mixed Metaphor's oldest and most trusted allies, has personally authorised me to list her and her alliance as people who will vouch for Mixed Metaphor's conduct. We remain confident that old friends from Ushra'Khan now in Damu'Khonde will do the same if called upon, as will our acquaintances within the ILF and Moira Vanguard.
We serve the Federation.
That is all. ----- Andreus Ixiris CEO, Mixed Metaphor

Andreus, considering that you've been known to publicly burst into flame at the mere suggestion that the Amarrian faith might not be a complete plague, blight, and stain on the cluster ...
... why did you even bother to respond to that attack?

Uh, not that I would ever classify you as an Amarrian-bloc-supporter, but perhaps they are referencing when you teamed up with Ordo Magna against White Rose?
Still, it's pretty silly. - - -

Star Fraction command staff, being haunted by opposition from all sides, has become quite paranoid and is starting to see plots and cooperations everywhere. All this paranoia is projected into one angst-gegner: 'the regressive Amarrian Imperialist'. If you are speak or act against the Star Fraction you must somehow be allied, supporting or a mouth-piece of that group.
I've always argued that anarchists cannot exist with something to rebel against, anarchism is a destructive philosophy, not a constructive one, the Star Fraction command staff has decided that the 'regressive Amarrian Imperialist' are *the* thing to fight against, and thus nearly everything they fight against they classify as such. ____

I disagree Merdaneth, and I disagree with you at several levels. The first is the supposition that Star Fraction are in fact, Anarchists, they are not in fact Anarchists, they are radical freedom fighters, but regardless of what they say, they are not anarchists, and from my looking into them, they have never been anarchists, they are enheduanni, which is to say, a malignant growth on the expansion of freedom and individual rights, they are a cancer within the liberal elements of the cluster.
I have worked with the Sisters all my life in order to create an environment of peace and freedom between all groups in the cluster, to expand upon person rights and create an era of acceptance and freedom for all human beings. Star Fraction are not working towards this goal of greater oikis, they are diametrically opposed to it, instead pursuing a goal of anoikis, where, in their minds, everyone would be free to do as they pleased, but in practice, in this state, it would more a state of take what you want.
Anarchy is a state of being, it is not a political movement. With anarchy comes an age of ordnung, of true order, which is to say voluntary order, people work together, and go about their lives, free of dispute and interference from any form of government, a lot like Syndicate, with each station having its own ideals, and its own representatives, but with everyone working together, because they know they will die if they don't, or that if they don't, the system will fall out of ordnung, into a state of verwirrung, the Oikis will fall apart, and it will be nothing but chaos.
Anarchy is not chaos, anarchy is order of the people. Star Fraction seems to believe that the two are one and the same, which they are not.

I am sure that Mixed Metaphor are as free from association with slavers as any group can be given the often anonymous and interlinked nature of the cluster's economy.
Certainly they are opposed to all such activities in support of the Empire and slavery. They have the trust of Mirkur Draug'tyr.

*ChipMo nearly faints with shock
Finally!! Someone gets it!!!
We fight for Free Space. We are true freedom fighters, some of us maintain an anarchic state of being but that is not the sum of what we are. You will see, it is usually people who know little of us that label us "Anarchists" without even really understanding what that is.
Bravo, excellent post. And be assured, we are under no illusions as to what we are.
Edit: Just to be clear, I am talking here about Arci's understanding of Anarchism, that of the fraction still leaves some to be desired. For example, we know exactly what we are fighting for - Free Space. etc etc. Still, I am just thrilled for some one out side the Star Fraction to actually grasp what Anarchism is really about and the difference from the Free Space we prescribe too (although, they are not mutually exclusive).

I am sure Damu'Khonde warrior Borza Slavak must have missed the Star Fraction Operation Castrato (intervention in support of the Matari people against the 24th Crusade) where Ixirus for Mixed Metaphor declares for PIE Inc. And the Amarrian Empire in conflict with the Fraction.
Originally by: Andreus Ixiris And another one of those rare wars were I'm actually rooting for PIE! Go Amarrians!
Would be a little like the Fraction cheering for Aralis and CVA in Providence against the old Ushra'khan! Ridiculous I grant you. But people's words do go on the record and Andreus and Mixed Metaphor are held to account for the things they say.
Perhaps you'd like to have a conversation with your friend and find out precisely what he meant by those words in the context of the Fractions intervention against 24th Crusade slavers Warrior Slavak?

His motivations don't really matter. The fact he responds to a thread announcing the Fraction's intervention in the conflict between the Matari people and the forces of the Amarrian 24th Crusade by jumping up and down and cheering Amarrian slavers of PIE and has publicly announced he'd rather support Slavers over Fraction simply demonstrates we were right to set him -10 KOS on the organizational basis right?

True, and in this, I think you're completely justified. He hates you, so you set him -10. his issue lies in your branding him as a slaver and an Amarr loyalist when he is clearly not one, he just seems the Amarrians as the lesser of two evils, with your alliance being the greater.

I have not actually branded him a slaver or an Amarr loyalist. I have called him an Amarrian boot-licker and lickspital cringer and I believe the quote on record proves this.
Originally by: Andreus Ixiris And another one of those rare wars were I'm actually rooting for PIE! Go Amarrians!
But it is well noted that such is Ixirus's hatred for the fraction it outweighs his hatred of both slavery and Amarrian Nationalism. Something the readers of this thread would do well to file away themselves for future reference.

We haven't branded him a slaver. We haven't branded him an Amarr loyalist.
Don't believe his distortions.

We simply say that he supports Amarr loyalists when it suits him and this is plainly true according to his own words. That's what caused us to re-evaluate him and come to the conclusion that, yes, he is so hostile to us that he will favour slavers over we who fight slavery. It's quite simple.

Think back through your extensive record of kissing Amarrian Nationalist posteriors on Galnet you cringing functionary. There is little doubt about your loyalities and preferences on this score. Even your fellow pilots of the FDU describe you as a belly-up non-entity and you have no existence beyond trolling threads in support of Amarrians on IGS. This being the case I suspect nobody is much surprised to see you condemned alongside the religious hierarchies you aspire to pay with lip service and scrapingly abject obeisance from the carpet of your knees.
You have been registered as an enemy of the Star Fraction not because we ever seriously expect to see you in space but because if we do one day make that astounding discovery we'd like the freedom to shoot you then and there rather than waiting for another full conjunction of the myriad stars 24 hours later. I'm sure if this day does come then Archbishop will speak at your memorial.
