DARK ANGEL CHAPTER has opened for Buisness.
We are currently offering service in High Sec, Low Sec, and in some cases null sec. Services provided:
War Dec service- we will declare war and kill as many of your opponents as possible. We will actively hunt down war targets every minute of the day.
Asset Denial- we will camp your opponent in Stations, on gates, and basically insure they cannot conduct business as usual. we will disrupt their day to day operations.
Escort- We can provide Scouts, Protection, and Logistics Support while you move your fleet in relative safety.
Killboards
We understand the concerns you may have in not only hiring a Mercenary corporation, but also in hiring one as new as we are. Please stop by "DAC Public" in game and speak with us. You will be treated in a professional manner from start to finish. Also, you may contact Celebrinbaur, Nitees, Tolowim Capeen, or Sin Golem in game.

Oh good.. I was thinking your low kill count was due to you being bad at this game. Now I know its just a DB error and im looking forward to seeing your real stats once its fixed.

Edited by: Celebrinbaur on 09/08/2010 07:57:33 We do have a low Kill count. We are just starting our second Contract tomorrow, After being formed a few short days ago. I'm sure it will go well and more kills should arrive promptly. Unfortunately our first contract was merely an asset denial and POS take-down. Not many kills but we did manage to take down their POS, deny them free movement and counter attacked the Merc Alliance they Hired. While negotiating successfully an end to hostilities. All things considered I am proud of the way my guys are handling themselves.
and Thanks for the Bump, Lana.

Getting caught up on the forums and I see this. Good luck in the future. Looks like you need it. 36.24% over all isk eff. Tisk tisk. Ok ok not all contracts can be judged by kill stats alone. But in looking at your opponents kb I see you're also missing a Drake and Raven loss on your kb. If nothing else mercs should be honest and post all losses. Like I said, good luck. You're gonna need it.

I say go back to the broken killboard.. This new fixed one isnt doing you any favors.. Last 7 days has 2 T3 losses, a tone of drakes and a tone of canes, for well, not much..
Even including last Saturday where you managed to kill 6 BSs I still doubt you have broken even this week..
I would be delighted if someone were to employ your merc services against me, at least you don't seem to run from fights..

Apparently being outmatched and outmanned means running and hiding. One of the many things we need to learn. And, no we didn't come close to breaking even this week, but we had a pretty good time.

This I appreciate. Nothing worse than a merc corp that decs you, talks smack, and then hides after losing a few ships.

Weird. If I hire a merc corp, I'd want them to grief my targets. Assuming they're throwing away their ships to the hostiles, then they might actually be boosting their morale (and killboard), which is counter-productive. But I dunno, maybe it depends on what work I want to be done (and how much I pay for it!).
However, when it comes to 'pure' PvP, outside of merc contract, then I'd agree with both of you. - I'd tell you why but then I'll have to kill you. And to kill you I'd have to log in. And to log in I'd have to stop browsing these forums. Both you and me knows that'll never happen. |

As one of the targets in Dark Angels Chapter's last contract I feel compelled to post and rate them. I realize that the full measure of a Merc's success is calculated by the happiness of their client through the completion of the terms of the contract, but as a ex-Merc myself what professional pride I have left demands that I make future buyers beware.
.DAC. Dec'd us on behalf of a member of The League of Fighting Gentlemen. They were apparently also hired to Dec Universal Ventures, however our mutual War Dec's on the League were coincidental and we'd never had contact with UVENT before the Mercs got involved.
Once the Dec was placed we quickly did our intel on our new targets. We soon had a list on names that encompassed about 90% of their membership which at the time numbered 44. It quickly became apparent to us that a large portion of the membership had factional reps that would preclude them from entering Gallente or Minatar space, and a few that security status that would not allow them to pursue us into the higher security systems. This was only the beginning of their difficulties since we found out from their own membership that not only was there only about 11 active members at the time of the contract, only around 6 seemed to be active during our play times. The majority of the active players that could actually come and hunt us due to factional rep where their very youngest pilots.
Their membership was quite eager to chat with us and it was through two of them that we found out which member of the League had issued the contract, what the contract entailed, and approximately how much the contract was valued. The contract was specifically to keep us engaged and too busy to hunt the League. We had already figured out the level of their expertise through the loss of a Proteus and a Hurricane at a station camp they initiated while an Armageddon abandoned their teammates before the Proteus was even at 50% armor(yup we let it get away unfortunately, one of our newer members forgot to point it... well we are training them, consider lesson learned.... LOL). So with new intel in-hand (although honestly we already knew most of this from the Client's C&P post), we ran some 40 jumps through the territory where .DAC. supposedly would be most active due to factional rep restrictions and popped and podded their client just a mere 2 hours before he was apparently going to abandon his former Corp due to the ineffectiveness of his Merc's to control us (this fact and confirmation that the Client had just lost well over 500 mil isk in implants came later from a convo with the former Client.)
The ineffectiveness and inexperience of .DAC. became even more apparent with their loss of a second T3 hull after the pilot warpped to a gate 16 KM off of it and engaged the UVENT Rifter we pushed the gate after our scouts saw this. After this loss the .DAC. pilots went out of their way to actually avoid VTAK and concentrate on UVENT who they had had better success engaging. Although this was abundantly clear to us, we had this fact also confirmed to us through convos with .DAC.'s membership. By the end of the Dec, they retracted it a day early after we'd started actively hunting them because the League had apparently fallen apart at this time. Our tally was 13 .DAC. ships destroyed for a total of approximately 2.4 Bill isk in damages to 0 ships lost (full details as to their or their Client's losses can be found at our killboard, they are all API linked and we can be found by doing a google search for Voodoo Tactical Killboard).
Several glaring issues present themselves when considering this organization to fulfill a contract:
1. Apparent lack of active pilots 2. Apparent inability of their membership to pursue targets in all 4 Empires and in all levels of System Security. 3. Serious lack of seasoned Leadership FC'ing their fleets. 4. Serious lack of experience in fitting PvP ships 5. General inability to effectively use scouts and locators. 6. Inability of their Membership to keep confidential information to themselves. 7. Non accurate Killboard. As of this writing there were still missing losses (just because a member Corp is no longer in the Alliance AFTER hostilities cease is no excuse not to post all their losses during the time of their membership). This would indicated a non-API linked KB, a hallmark of Merc transparency and honesty.
Generally I would grade this organization an "F" on ability, but a C on fighting spirit. A definite "don't buy" here regardless of what discounted prices they may come up with.

Edited by: Researcher 4148 on 17/08/2010 07:40:32 This alliance is not going to stand the test of time. From what I read here, if the facts are accurate, they simply don't have things working right.
- Bad Faction Standing ( You can't merc if you can't go where the target is)
- Bad Sec Status ( Read Above )
- Running from the fight before everyone is dead
- Giving up too many juicy kills ( Just makes the enemy have a party)
I give it three weeks. In 3 weeks, more than half the pilots will realize this isn't working, quit, and they'll be a shell of people trying to go through the motions. Then a few more will just quit eve... and a couple guys will go afk ghosting in the corp.
Just another merc fail.
*edit for failure on bullet points*

Agreed. I don't hire mercenaries so that they have a good time. Usually if they are competent and you hand them a good war, they end up having a good time.
However, if they just end up flailing around and coughing up massive kills, what they end up doing is giving the enemy a party, and making the client look like a laughing stock.
If you want to be a mercenary alliance, you should take a look at the main merc alliances.
- Pitboss's new Privateers, Orphanage.
TBH, I'm not so sure about Noir any more since they don't smell like mercs any more but they can stay on the list for the time being.
Hydra perhaps as well, although I am less familiar with them and merc'ing is also not one of their primary foci.
There are a couple good corps as well, but I am unfamiliar with them.
However, if you want to be a mercenary ALLIANCE, those are the groups you must compare yourself to.
They don't have pilots with sec status that keeps them from high sec.
They don't have pilots whose faction standing keeps them from chasing into hostile empires.
and they don't have 0.350 kill death ratios.
Like I said, another flash in the pan mercenary alliance. It's a shame really.

So Researcher 4148 who's alt are you? From reading all your post I bet your a Snatch Victory alt. Hey at least the other merc alliance's and corporationsÆ use some of there main characters to beat there chest on here. To bad you donÆt. Oh but wait Snatch victory never do use mains to post here. well a few do but they are usually just the younger members or just plain stupid. I love all the advice an expertise you give here but yet never with your main character. To bad you are so ashamed of yourself. You must be a Snatch victory alt after all you have to love the awesome performance they showed in the last alliance tournament.

Sheba, whose alt are YOU?
To put it simply, I am the alt of no merc. It is true that I know people in all three of the merc groups I mentioned, but my only affiliation with any of them stems from having hired some, and idling often in the merc contract channel.
This may not have occured to you, since your ability to use rational thought to discern accurate conclusions from incomplete data is limited, but a person who is around the mercenary business but not yet actually a mercenary, might sound like one, and a person who has formed opinions on who the competent mercs are, might also sound like them to a person who is obviously as you are.
So simply put? You mad?
Obviously so. I would hazard a guess and say that you have been on the receiving end of SV and Noir, and perhaps Orphanage as well, although less likely since they are newer.
However, I could have distilled all of that into this simple concept. Anyone who posts with an alt to call another alt out for not identifying themself has two things going for them.
They think they have some kind of vengeance they can wreak upon the guy, and they're mad.
Don't be mad bro.

IÆm not at the least mad I just think your a pompous a$$. And while we are at it lets see have I ever told someone on this forum they fail before they even start no. And from what you say your not a merc alt and have only hired them and know a few of them so that makes you an expert ummm NO. You name the big 3 merc alliances as you call them. While you talk crap about 2 of them ôPitboss's new Privateers, Orphanage, TBH I'm not so sure about Noir any more since they don't smell like mercs any more but they can stay on the list for the time beingö and leave snatch victory alone. So that tells me your possibly a snatch victory alt. Which is ok with me as ive never had any dealings with snatch victory? Except watching them fail miserably during the alliance tournament. The other 2 organizations you name have the balls to at least post with their mains and yet you do not. Another thing who has ever said snatch victory should be classed as one of the big 3. I mean really who are they? What makes them part of the big 3 as you say? Oh thatÆs right your one of there alts. So if you want to make other mercs look bad at least come out and do it with your main. Or if youÆre not an alt and want to be such a merc expert why donÆt you become one. Then even I myself will read and maybe even take your advice. Oh and so that it doesn't seem like Im trying to hijack this thread. Best of luck to you DARK ANGEL CHAPTER!!! Who cares what this armchair quarterback has to say unless he can prove he knows what he is speaking about.
