I think I've come up with a near-invincible hauler for autopilot AFK work. It's perhaps not what you're expecting...
[Suicide Gank-proof Abaddon] - 228,942 EHP
1600mm Reinforced Steel Plates II 1600mm Reinforced Steel Plates II 1600mm Reinforced Steel Plates II 1600mm Reinforced Steel Plates II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Large Shield Extender II Large Shield Extender II Large Shield Extender II Large Shield Extender II
(Empty high slots)
Large Trimark Armor Pump I Large Trimark Armor Pump I Large Trimark Armor Pump I
Obviously, this isn't going to be used for large cargos - the bay is 525m3. The point is for trading small but valuable goods like implants and blueprints. It has a large advantage from the outset in that it's a battleship, so many suicide gankers won't even scan it, assuming that it contains nothing of value. It is also T2 fitted to avoid tempting anyone with faction/officer loot.
Anyway, I reckon you could stuff this to the gunwhales with billions of ISK worth of implants and haul them from one end of high sec to the other unscathed. What do you think?

Uhm what.. i got no idea if this is serius or not. But that's definatly not gank proof. Those plates will give you the agility of a elephant, and you'll be as slow as a snail with those rigs... You're going to be great bait for suicideganking and real easy to catch.
Also wtf is up with mixing shield and armor tank, those LSE's are going to bring your sig radius up by alot yikes..
Gank proof... not really. Gank bait yes sir.

Fair point, but if no-one knows you're coming, is there really going to be a large enough gank party prepared to take you out? I mean, you need 26 Maelstroms with 9k damage alpha to oneshot this...

The point isn't to be agile or fast as you'll be AFK anyway, the point is to survive whatever the gankers can throw at you. They'll need 25+ battleships to take this out before CONCORD arrives.

I found your problem.

You know what else has 200k+ EHP? A freighter. Are freighters immune to suicide ganks?
Seriously, if the estimated value of your drop is greater than the cost of suiciding you, you risk a suicide attack. Your snail-like AFK plated battleship will give the suicide gang plenty of time to set up.
BTW, I know suicide gankers who routinely scan battleships and marauders and such. Really pimped out faction fittings are worth suiciding too :)

Fair point, well then the key would be to avoid putting more than 500 million ISK worth of cargo in this. Assuming it takes 25 battleships to oneshot it and that each BS represents a loss of 10 mil after insurance, and that approximately half the cargo drops, the gankers will barely break even for a lot of hassle.
I concede that if you put more than half a billion's worth in the cargo, you might be asking for trouble.

A freighter has a decent chunk of EHP, but trust me, they get ganked irregardless.
Best way to suicide gank proof something would be in the corp hanger of the Orca or simply not flying afk with valuable stuff *** Currently Playing: Trolls from Outer Space Current Equipment: VISAcard chain mail, +2 Amulet of Epic Whine, Self Banstick +2 WTB: +666 E-peen killboard stats |

This. Especially since the Orca will happily give you just under 300k EHP should someone decide to take a shot at you.

For billions worth of small cargo you use covert ship. SB covert ops or BR.It also helps putting in it in a can. As that makes the cargo an all or none drop. Some wont risk an all or none drop.
Also you dont afk.

If you are going to be flying with cargo worth that much, I just cannot see any possible reason why not to use a Blockade Runner.
More cargo space, faster align/warp time, faster warp speed, and to top it all off, nobody will be able to catch you with your covops cloak when in empire space ( unless you are *very* unlucky with your gate jumpin point ).
And **NEVER** AFK autopilot. Why get lazy when billions are at stake?

Anyways.... if your transporting alot of small but highly valuable items, like BPO's, implants or some high value faction/deadspace items, a fast aligning frigate works well, and usually isn't scanned.
But its not for afkness.

Go out before you with 2 alts, and gank each other at all gates, Concord will already be there when you arrive.

While not quite AFK I indulge my laziness by using a claw, simply put the MWD on F1 and fire up the autopilot. You're then free to forum ***** or generally surf the net and simply have to tap F1 each time you come out of warp.
It covers the 15 km to the gate so fast that you're quite hard to gank and it's a damn site less hassle than all this warp to 0 business. Not a perfect defense but good for lazy people _______

Actually, covert ships leaving the market hub can be ganked(typically jita or amarr).
When you undock, you cannot cloak (you are 0m away from station so it won't let you).
It is unlikely this will happen, and if you are paranoid if you make a bookmark directly away from where you exit the station you can insta warp to it after undocking putting the risk of gank near zero.
But please, don't leave jita 4-4 in a Cov Ops Frigate with 5 billion isk worth of implants in it without making a safespot unless you LET ME KNOW WHEN FIRST.

Further to the opinions voiced since last night, I would like to revise the recommended cargo value to transport in this ship down to about 500 million ISK worth. I feel that the amount of ships required to destroy this Abaddon would make it too costly a target for suicide gankers if it were transporting less than half a billion ISK of assets.

Fill it up to the brim with multi billion isk modules. If I can field a gang to nuke a freighter in high sec, you won't be that much harder to take down on autopilot.
