For example, yesterday you said Livestock was about 3000 ISK (or something) but it's never been that high and in Jita the Buys are like 1500 and the sells are like 2200 (or something).
Just curious how you get to the figure you read out each day.

He may be using averages...which is what I suspect. In which case, Jita is meaningless since it's but one price point in a larger pool of prices which comprise the average price.

I have already sent a mail to Utemetsu, containing my competition entry. I also enquired as to where he gets his prices; with a view to perhaps offering some assistance.
It would be a small matter with the right specifications to create a sheet that automatically collected the "correct" prices and did some very minor analysis; things like a price being a 50day low, etc.
I could also have this sheet produce output that you could just read, along the lines of "Today the advanced material index hit "x".

Unfortunately it would seem so. Last I spoke with Erik his graphics card had died.
Ironically, I'm Facebooked with a number of MD people, Erik is one of them. Random Trivia: He's an accomplished didgeridoo player. True story.
