Why not give everyone the option to warp in at 500km?
Imagine 2 large fleets flying towards eachother at a gate... Interceptors and frigates going at full spped to reach the enemy battleships, Destroyers on their tail to whipe out the enemies frigates. Battleships are in the back of the fleet killing off as many of the cruisers and battleships with long range weaponry.
Id would beat warping into the fleet at 60km And it would allow people to warp into battle lag free since theyd have enough time to load all the ships and stuff. ---------------------------

what he said
fleet battles that actually involve tactically manoevering a fleet, rather than just a chaotic clicking of stuff and then suddenly appearing in a cloning station.
this should be implemented IMO - the ability to set your own warp distance up to 500km

Edited by: Lygos on 24/12/2004 00:58:42 Heck, as rare as combat is in a days piloting, why not give everyone 10 minutes worth of HP. Then you could position yourself mid-battle even. That would compare with the 10 hours it takes to get it back. Some will complain, but frankly, I think most will still enjoy shooting at each other anyhow. Balancing schmalancing.
Merry Christmas all, even you meowcat, and remember, "A killmail is a gift that keeps on giving." |
