Do we need so many ship effects?

Atticus Fynch Gallente The Scope	Posted - 2010.08.18 17:52:00 - [1] I'm out mining using a survey thingy. I press it and the ship is enveloped in this subtle warbley scan effect. Look...you really don't need an effect for every little thing in EVE. I believe the survey scanner is working just fine. This would also cut down on wasted resources for useless effects, don't you think? Now, having said that there are some effects that need buffing up. The warp effect for one. Very lame. My 0.02 isk

Apparently you all have a problem reading. I did not say i have rig problems, but that if resources is an issue then take away some of the really stupid effects and bring back/enhance the cool ones like ship trails. As for all the other troll replies...STFU losers.

The resources are only wasted on client side and have absolutely nothing to do with the eve servers. Engine trails were never implemented after a total remake, rather than "taken out" of anything. And no, we don't need engine trails of a thousand ships in blobs. It'll be a resource hog and look bad at the same time.
