Goin' on 5 days now... Talk about lost time. Still got the same bull**** problem, and, let's face it, 90% of the population with the crashproblem DON'T USE NETLIMITER AND SUCH. It's not hard to realize, I mean, we're loads that has the same problem, and the chance of everyone using something that limits the bandwidth, no thanks, not my style. So, what's the problem here? Wake up CCP!

Progress! The rest of us don't even get a fatal error report, so, that's a real progress.

well when the dialog box comes up and you choose "dont send" (thats what I always do) you can click on "view detailed report", then click on "technical information" which opens another box and at the top it tells you the exception code, which in my case is the aformentioned blablablllaaaalala.
oh, on the other hand, did you read my sig?

Well, I don't even get the dialog box, it just.. Goes empty. Splashscreen comes, but then there's nothing else. No error report, no nothin'.

Same problem try everything all the suggestions repair , reload , loading off a CD . trying to start from the exefile nothing is working, I am using a friends computer to keep my trainning going. Not happy! CCP should have put a little more effort in to making shure the new patch was going to work properly .

Crashing at splash as well since 1.0.4. Was fully expected, test server builds had been crashing in the same way for weeks with bug reports and forums posts on the issue pointedly being ignored. I'll check back here in 18 months ..|.. --

I found changing the compatibility settings to turn off advanced desktop graphics and start with basic settings worked for me on windows 7 64 bit, might help.

Same problem.
NOTE TO CCP: Renaming or moving the cache and settings folders do not fix this problem. There is a direct problem with the newest patch. I reinstalled the game last night and the game worked with no patches, and then didn't after the 2 gig patch.

Hello folks. Looks like I'm not the only one to get this issue (I got an unknown status for a couple of days now). Odds are I checked the firewall (never had issues with mc afee): nothing wrong. Checked my eve version: i patched it properly, it's the latest one (174282). Uninstalled the game, cleaned up the registry and everything. Then I reinstalled the game client: no luck. I'm still getting the same message as I try to log: Tranquility status: unknown. I've sent a couple of petitions: haven't got any answer yet. Checked other mmo games: nothing wrong, I can log and play just fine (sometimes I can't log to any mmo after some windows update or stuff like that).
I'm running on windows Vista.
Hope to get an answer soon. Good luck everyone.

NO WARRANTIES ... CCP does not warrant that the operation of the System or your access to the System, or that your use of the Software, will be uninterrupted or error-free, nor that the System or Software will be compatible with your hardware and software....

It is for this reason, the CCP in no hurry to solve the problem, and forgot about us.

Seems like there is nothing else to do then reinstallig the Operating System and HOPE for Eve to work after that.

Well, that's what I've been thinking pretty much... CCP saying that they've 'narrowed it down to programs such as Netlimiter'... I don't see how that program could be infecting my computer without my knowledge...
So, that means CCP is blindfolding themselves to avoid this issue, that many of us have? I do not know what the common factor is to everyone though, since there probably is something messing it up...
To start with basics, what do you guys use in your computers, i.e., graphics card, ATI or Nvidia? CPU, Intel or AMD, dualcore, quadcore, etc?

Ditto to the "worked fine before patch, but now can't even log in" problem..
Windows Vista laptop.. Who cares what other programs are running, none are programs which weren't running before the patch..
Client opens, changes screen resolution, then crashes to desktop..
Again, ONLY thing which has changed on PC was that I downloaded the patch.. Have reinstalled (twice, just for good measure) Have cleared cache (three times, just because) Have always ran as administrator
Originally, client would open, then immediately minimize.. I tried hitting Alt-Enter before it crashed (quick key-presses ftw!) and it worked.. I was able to log in, but the screen resolution instantly changed to one so high that only about 1/4 of the client would appear on my screen and to click on anything in the options window I had to click on apparent blank space about 2 inches to the left and 3 inches up..
Fixed while typing this message... Try going into the folder your client is installed in... Right click on the EVE file.. Go to "Compatibility" tab.. Make sure "Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution" is NOT checked.. I KNOW FOR A FACT that it was never checked before I d/l the last patch, but apparently it was magically checked after the last patch d/l... Since no one else uses my laptop, I must assume this was a result of the most recent patch (although I can not, for the life of me, imagine how this would be so)
Hmmmm... Oh well, the results are what matter, I guess..
Hope this helps someone....
