Edited by: Flapkonijn on 26/08/2010 08:31:46 Ok first off all... i know... curse and pilgrim for PVE = Sacrilege...
I have seen heard and read all the flaming now just back to my query.
tank%DPS%speed = best ship overall for PVE
I think it's IMHO the most beautifull hull in eve and im doing missions for standing so lvl 2/3's i'd like to at least have something nice to look at while grinding.
After i am high enough for high rated lvl 4's i'll switch to the big ass mission ships.
Any good fit idea's which would make one of these 3 the best all round?
Cheers, Flap
P.S (I have check battle clinic first for any good pve fits but all people say there it's crap for pve so i did check)

The Ammar EWAR line up, for PVE!
That is what your goin for right, I may have miss read?
I would say the curse definatly, I would say off the top of my head sheild tank it, have it orbit something, Launch Drones then fire Heavy Missiles.
Also are you sure you don't wanna PVP in it, because with my EVE Mon plan I'm still like four months away after I finish support skills and Minmatar. I'm a little jealous. -- Tactical Responder who is Organized and a Leading-edge Linguist |

And yes maybe in the future but at this point i don't have enough PVP exerpience to fly T2's. And don't worry about my support skills got all support skills in place for any ship in eve.
And thanks for your input i was nudging towards curse myself just because of drones and good shield tank.

For level 2s and 3s, definetly Curse with a booster. Missiles and drones will help you clear it quickly.
Sorry to say, but it's not optimal. A Harbinger or a HAC will do much better. Here is the best I could come up with, without expensive booster.
[Curse, L3s] Ballistic Control System II Ballistic Control System II Ballistic Control System II Co-Processor II
Medium Shield Booster II 'Copasetic' I Particle Field Acceleration Photon Scattering Field II Heat Dissipation Field II 10MN Afterburner II Large Peroxide I Capacitor Power Cell
'Arbalest' Heavy Missile Launcher, Thunderbolt Heavy Missile 'Arbalest' Heavy Missile Launcher, Thunderbolt Heavy Missile 'Arbalest' Heavy Missile Launcher, Thunderbolt Heavy Missile 'Arbalest' Heavy Missile Launcher, Thunderbolt Heavy Missile [empty high slot]
Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I
Hammerhead II x5 Hobgoblin II x5
Does 386 DPS and tanks about 106 vs Bloods, ofcourse use mission specific hardeners. Tank with speed and sig radius and it's stable at 55%.

ALways found the idea interesting, never actually bothered to try it out, especially not now that the legion is here.
[Pilgrim, ninjarattage] True Sansha Heat Sink True Sansha Heat Sink True Sansha Heat Sink Tracking Enhancer II Tracking Enhancer II
Large C5-L Emergency Shield Overload I Photon Scattering Field II Photon Scattering Field II Heat Dissipation Field II Heat Dissipation Field II
Heavy Pulse Laser II, Multifrequency M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Multifrequency M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Multifrequency M Covert Ops Cloaking Device II
Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I
Hammerhead II x5
puts out some 4-500 dps, Tanks about half of that. No damage bonuses so fit whatever guns apply to the situation. Should be better versus anything but blood/sansha. Parrots, commence!

Edited by: Jokus Balim on 26/08/2010 11:28:12 I use a Pilgrim for exploration:
[Pilgrim, Explorer] Medium Armor Repairer II Medium Armor Repairer II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Capacitor Power Relay II
10MN Afterburner II Analyzer I Codebreaker I Large Capacitor Battery II Large Capacitor Battery II
Covert Ops Cloaking Device II Sisters Core Probe Launcher, Core Scanner Probe I Salvager I Small Tractor Beam I
Medium Gravity Capacitor Upgrade I Medium Gravity Capacitor Upgrade I
Valkyrie II x5 Hammerhead II x5 Warrior II x5 Light Armor Maintenance Bot I x5
You can run both repairers permanentely either with all exploration modules (which never happens) or the afterburner active. The two large cap batteries work better than cap rechargers to get your cap stable. I even did a combat site with lots of Angel battleships though it's insanely tedious thanks to the low damage. Just keep range and speed up and you are pretty safe from most stuff.
If you want to fit it for missions, then lasers in highs, more cap modules in the mids and cap or laser rigs should help to get some more dps and tank. Active hardeners are an obvious option, too.
Far cheaper than a Legion.

I like this one ship for all set up. Do you do lower leveled combat sites in lowsec with that as well or do you mainly focus on radar/magnetometrics? For instance Blood Vigil / Z.M. Monestry? I agree with everything Barakkus posts. |

Thanks Mahdi i do know 90% of the ships in eve are probs better to run missions but i just want to have fun which is more important then speed/isk don't need either. And i probs will look at a complex booster maybe?
A bit of topic but it's a shame how many posts i see about people trying to grind as much isk/missions/LP's pure for profit and gain and doing it long enough to actually take the fun out of the game and making it to much work. I've seen quite q few people i liked quite of that reason. [/rant] (Sorry about that =)
Thank for the fits so far it seems the Curse is def the better option. Even though most people would probs target me when they see a PVE curse

Mul-Zatah Monastery is doable in Arbitrator easily (I've done it quite many times with it), so why wouldn't a Pilgrim work in it? About Vigil, it should be tankable for as long as you can get the statis towers out of order, then it's cakewalk. |

Ya but you are missing the juicy +50% scan probe bonus of the exploration Legion. Though, you can't fit a cov ops cloak on a drone boat/missile legion so you would be limited to high sec primarily. There are really nice Proteus and Tengu setups for the ultimate exploration pwnmobile if you were every really interested in travelling around unseen and doing exploration sites in hostile territories.
I'm ****ed I put lots of time into the Legion over the other tech III's because honestly, I haven't seen a damn thing PvE wise that a Tengu can't do better. It makes a pretty hot PvP ship though especially with the +75% Scan Resolution Subsystem for getting crazy fast webs and points and HAMs. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ CAPSLOCK, BECAUSE SOMETIMES REGULAR FONT JUST, ISN'T, GOOD ENOUGH. |

One exception: if you want to get slightly better payback while grinding, taking a Pilgrim into lowsec with a cloak is pretty incredibly safe. But yeah, if you're sticking to hisec, a Curse is probably a bit better.

Thanks for the fits everyone.
I'm suprised but pleased i didn't get loads of flamers As i will get more used to flying the curse/arb/pilg i will probs move into low/null sex to do some sites and expo but for now just running it to the edge without losing it in missions will give me the experience
