I'm posting this on an alt for obvious reasons. It will also serve as a warning to anyone one currently in a corporation in a certain alliance (you'll know if you are). I joined this alliance because it looked like a good opportunity to experience both low and 0.0 space. I met a leader who wasn't a part of my corporation but in my alliance on a fleet OP which was operating in low sec a little over 3 weeks ago. After the op I stayed in fleet and I ended up striking up a conversation. Needless to say we became quick friends and were pretty much talking about everything everyday. All of a sudden he half jokingly half seriously asked me if I liked guys and I half jokingly half seriously said yes. It turned out he did to. He insisted we keep this a secret because he said it would jeopardize his position in the alliance. All was good.
Then on an op a couple of weeks later some members started using homosexual slurs and I kindly said that they shouldn't. They then proceeded to call me a *** and insult me. I dropped fleet and decided to forget about it. The next morning instead of receiving the usual nice email from who shall not be named it was a breakup letter and he explained that it had to do with the events of the previous night. Later that day I was kicked from my corp no one talks to me, nothing to do, no more fleet ops with green and all my things are stuck there, Forr dooing Nothing wrong... nothing at all. I don't know what to do. I guess just go to high sec?
This is just a warning to everybody who thinks their person lives are safe with their alliance, they aren't.
And apparently real relationships don't exist.
Please mail me... I don't care if I'm out of green I just don't want to lose what we made. You know who you are.

Why do people continue to bring real life issues into a game. This is eve online with pew pew plus other forms of pvp and not alternate lifestlye online to metagame your rl life orientation to complete strangers you only interact with in pixel and audio form.
But anyways, it sounded like you were set up for the bomb. So if this batch of cretins is not to your personal alternate lifestyle liking go find a corp that is.

Anyway, you were kicked for politely asking some guys in an op to not say ***? To be honest they just don't sound like the people you want to be with. It is at this point in my post I would usually tell you to HTFU and STFU, but it sounds like you weren't OMFG WHY YOU SAY THAT WORD YOU CAN'T SAY THAT (like the guy in the thread about *the n-word* (queue dramatic music)), and you handled it very calmly.
Find a new corp would be my advice, even if you don't want it!

well what id do is start a corp of gay only( really dont know if thats the PC term) and if you get enough peopl go kick thier asses for their narrow minded back water ways.

If this was real Toby would've sent this via in-game mail to his dark knight instead of spewing this load all over the forums. He would've confronted the issue more directly, and not tried to blindly grab and reach around in here, hoping his buddy would see this. Although if this is real, I'm sorry your top EvE experience so quickly bottomed out. Sounds like some of the members of your old alliance need to loosen up.

MMO's are notorious for homophobia and bigotry. Eve is no exception (though to its credit, it seems less prevalent than most).
I have my own "alternate lifestyle". There's no way in hell I'm telling anyone here about it.

good heavens i hate that game. Always making me deal with some lame 'needs' like food and water (omg like every 6 hours i gotta EAT something.. srsly.. dont even get me started on sleep :\ forced downtime FTL). And the whole 'uncomfortable' bit depending on temperature.. or even the GRIND the first 20 years are..
At leas the graphics are good (especially on college campuses <.< ) and the monthly fee is low.

ok ok you got me. Theres no external money involved, but once ingame you have to make enough money to pay the 'bills' they give you, or else you arent allowed to do anything.
Although I hear it has a HUGE economic system, and politics are amazing..

I'm gonna assume you aren't trolling.
First off you didn't have a healthy relationship to begin with. Anyone that wants to hide a relationship they are having with someone are hiding it for a reason. Most likely you weren't the only one he was flirting with and aren't the only victim of his predator nature.
Second you're better off. Rather than continuing to string you along in a fantasy relationship he's cut you lose.
Third go find something real. Hit a bar or someplace you can find people of similar persuasion and find something real.

Few words of advice;
1. The sooner you forget about that corp and it's members, the better off you'll be.
2. Find a corp that mandates an open-minded policy. They're out there.
3. If the 'friend' you met holds his FC status over friendships. Screw that douche.
I don't know why you don't name the corp. It's important for others to know what they're all about. Plus, you might save another the grief you just went through.
