Unfortunately, we're unable to offer this type of arrangement, as it's commonly used as a method of offloading one's wares in Jita, then refusing the final contract.
The contract mechanics are, sadly, woefully inadequate to what you'd like to do without risking yourself and your courier's ISK

Haven't used your services yet but will certainly try. You're a bit cheaper (and every ISK counts) and claim you could be faster than competition, it's worth a shot.
I have a question however, how well do you cover different timezones? Do you have pilots ready to haul almost any given time?
Also, one little suggestion if I may: if it doesn't chew too much of your profit and it's not such a big logistical effort, it might be worth to launch some kind of promotion. Like, every 10 contracts, 1 is free. Every 10 mil m3, the next shipment is free. Something along those lines . I know it might be hard to keep track of that, but with an out-of-game app it might be feasible.
Good luck with this business! Solid competition brings nothing but better services and lower prices

Also, I should mention something else.
Before I sent my contract another guy had his contract rejected. I waited to see why and it turns out he had accidentally reversed reward and collateral. They could have easily ripped him off but didn't.

In the process of setting up a batch of contracts with these guys I accidentally put a contract up with a 400M reward and 8M collateral, instead of a 8M reward and 400M collateral.
Instead of instantly accepting and completing the job, Shinde Kudasai rejected it only a few minutes after I put it up, saving me hundreds of millions of ISK.
They had completed about 20 contracts for me prior to this point, and after that event I will be using them exclusively for my courier contracts due to to their great value and speed.

Absolutely first class service. I needed stuff moved about 20 jumps. Earlier this week, while moving some stuff myself, I got suicide ganked and lost 800 million ISK (stupidity on my part in not having a fast-aligning industrial ship - even warping to zero you are not always safe). These guys moved it quickly and cheaply. To be honest, I see no reason to ever move my own stuff again. I am already poking through my hangars to find other things that I need moved from point A to point B. Enthusiastically recommend these guys.

Wow. Just...wow. The public response so far has been absolutely amazing. The kind words, and the overwhelming quantity of business :) Thank you all - and rest assured, we're still aggressively working (and recruiting!) to increase our performance!
On the note of increasing performance, I wanted to reassure a few of our clients about something. Several of you have been (very kindly!) letting us know that a few of our competition have been trying to woo you to their service via our channel.
We appreciate the loyalty involved in telling us that. We truly do. :)
But, we actually already knew they were there.
And, as we've told them, we're okay with that.
Partially, because competition is always a good thing. It keeps organizations on their toes :) But mainly because: if a competitor is able to draw you away from our service, that means we were (in some way) failing to meet your needs. This kind of motivation helps to make us hungrier, to make us sleeker - to push us to ALWAYS meet those needs. It helps us to stay motivated to ALWAYS be the first freight service you choose :)
Happily, we seem to be doing that :) But - we can promise - we'll always stay hungry to keep doing so, and to improve our ability to do so :)
So, if you haven't yet - give us a go! And, to our existing customers - thank you, as always, for your business :)

Taking all of the above in a practical situation. Contracting a courier from Jita to Rens, shipping 1,740,000 m3 worth of minerals.
The competition gives you: Three contracts. AFK haulers with an estimated trip-length of nearly 2 hours (From the time they actually accept the contract). For a total of 6 hours fly-time, and a pricetag of 27,750,000 ISK.
Mercurial Freight gives you: Two contracts. At-keyboard haulers with an estimated trip-length of 50 minutes. For a total of 2.5 hours fly-time, and a pricetag of 13,500,000 ISK.
You're reading that right - less than half the price, for less than half the wait!
while the price is right, can I correct you on the time frame?
since the competition got nearly 40 active pilot, and jita-rens is a really popular route, it can be done under 2h, at any time of the day. nothing prevents them to haul 3 at the same time using 3 pilot, or one player actually using 3 freighters at once.
Thank you, and good luck in your business! |

Absolutely true! But, lots of hypotheticals could be true there. A competitor's three pilots could all choose to be at-keyboard flying the contract, and finish the whole thing in 50 minutes. :) Or all three could accept the contract while AFKing there, go to sleep for the night, wake up to AFK it to the destination. We felt using that later scenario as an example might be unkind. :)
On a different note - our recruitment drive has been going excellently, with expanded coverage over all timezones! :)

Why don't you rage quit about it and blame Eve-Mails, your customers and RF Frieghts. Oh wait you already did lol lol lol.
I used my noob alt for the contract, I signed in prior to DT and the freighter pilot was in local at the gate, 8+ hours after dt I finally received my delivery. Don't worry about the lost customer though, seems you QUIT. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.

Hi there MF.
I'm sorry you had to close down.
but why, in the process, do you feel the need to **** on RF?
tell me, how can you say that RF pilot doesn't have pride in their work? How can being afk can be called unprofessional? are you kidding me?
they, presently under war-dec too, are delivering over 200 contracts a day, working with an average of 10 pilots.
they are not making any promises of delivery, and I guess now you can see why.
yes, their standard is lower, because **** happen, and this is still just a game. some people forget that, but when you ask for 3 days, you can't get **** if you take 32 hours to do it.
but you know what? RF delivers under 12h for about 80% of their contracts. even in war-dec time. could you tell the same with your higher standard? not that I heard of.
never make promises you can't keep...
it's too bad really, the idea was great, there's a lot of demand for almost instant delivery, but you should have got 10 pilots first, then start your business. not the other way around.
I guess you lived and learned!
good luck with the public contract!

To Mr. Zeddicus Mallows (again) : i dont think i have to go into detail, but your creative interpretation of shinde's post is very entertaining indeed xD Other than that: Yes, yes i am so very deeply sorry for your loss and am crying salty carebeartears just for you ^_^ - Now that we've got that behind us, could you remove your head from your beloved behind? Or have they become one by now?
To Mr Richard Merc: You didn't really think you would, did you? sadly enough i am no threat to anyone whosoever. |

but why, in the process, do you feel the need to **** on RF?
Rather the opposite. Their business plan is a success. Ours was a failure. We **** on ourselves with that one :)
It was an odd trend we noticed quite early on. Their customers would say "You rock, that barely took a day!" when ours would say "You suck, that almost took a day!"
I can only attribute the difference (mainly) due to poor PR choices on our part, combined with a genuine earnest eagerness on RF's part that endears them to their customer base.
The "**** on RF" bit, which I can entirely understand why it would read that way, in retrospect, was more meant to try and underline how distorted and unrealistic - in both directions - people's expectations are in this game, when it comes to freighting.
But they're a first rate organization - they've tolerated for 3 years what made me want to stab someone inside 3 weeks. After this experience, I would personally nominate Locin for sainthood.

To all the people with contracts still outstanding to MF, I will be endeavouring to move everything within the time scale you have set on the contract. Unfortunately I do not have Freighter V, so am unable to carry contracts bigger than 864000 m3 at this time.
As Mercurial Freight is still under wardec, Kayleigh will remain out of MF while my in corp alt accepts contracts.
Once the queue is cleared of everything I can carry, I will available for any private contracts you may wish performed, under exactly the same price structure as used by Mercurial Freight.
I will also be thinking about turning my personal service into a corp of my own.
Shinde: please contact me in game.

Shame to see this service end, I had only tried their service once, but it was barely more expensive than a public courier, and lightning fast.
I can't believe some people, really, anything less than a day is pretty good for couriers. I guess you'll always have bad customers, no matter what business you're in.

Hello! Former MF pilot here.
I know Shinde wont mind me hijacking this thread a little, so just to say, Im still hauling. You can see my new corp name next to this post, any customers of MF will find the terms very similar. Check me out in game for the full skinny.
I am (currently) hauling solo. So the volume that MF delivered is beyond me, but we'll see what the future brings.
Look forward to doing business!

Shame to see you all go. --- This doesn't even seem to be a regular case of rats fleeing the sinking ship. Seems more like the rats are on fire, the ship is on fire, and the sea is full of drunk Russians. - Jacob Etienne |

I used Angel Freight for a decent sized job and got excellent service at a great price! If you don't want to use one of the other services, I found tthis one to be good.
