Here's what I'm Using:
6xHeavy Pulse (named atm, T2 Soon(tm)) Heavy Launcher 10mn Ab2, 2xCap rechargers (Named) Med armour rep 2, 3xActive hardeners, adaptive nano Membrane 2, Cap relay and RCU2.
Have to be good with the Cap and watch it, but using UV crystals, can run the tank for a LONG time. I can take a 2x750k BS spawn with this. Just. I couldn't quite manage the 2x500ks and 1x1.5mill thou.
Requires some good fitting skills, but it will upgrade to T2 Guns, which is nice. With good cap skills, you can loose the CPR and take a Damage mod instead, but this will sacrifice some of your tank+shoot ability.
The armour resists for the 2 main defences can easily be over 80% with the prophecys Bonus and the right hardeners, the others will be about 70%...
And don't forget to take a full bay of the right type of light drones with you, they can help a lot with frigs (you have to rely on 'sniping' them using microwave/radio and the launcher to take the out quickly. I fight serps, so usually get them in "waves", frigs then cruisers/BS which is managable.
I'd happily loose 2 midslots to gain 2 lows on this baby... -----------

Hey Brent... from my days in a Maller id say folk use Pulse over beams because they have better tracking, use less cap and tbh with radio still have a pretty decent range. Tis nice to get the serious range of a beam with Radio now and again though.
I still gotta get a Prophecy once corp gets the bps cooked, we should try work out some setups.

Now my cap skills are not quite up to par where they should be and so for the moment any setup would really just end up draining my cap too fast, so my question is this, how viable would it be to fit projectile turrets on the Prophecy. The only bonus to guns you get is reduced cap usage, but with the projectile guns that is simply not an issue, also leaving you open to use more of the cap for the tanking. As I get my cap skills up going the laser route will open up as far as being something I could use, but until then has anyone tried this?

projectile prophecy results were very good. i had a setup with 3x 425mm autocannons and 3x 720mm arts, and was quite pleased. i lost the ship, however, when i got intercepted by about 5 m0o ships, although i managed to scare some of them off before they came back for the kill (damn gate wouldnt let me jump). my best shots were around the 380 mark, using the arts. my autocannons would do steady damage at about 20-40. im sure there was room for improvement tho.
lesson learnt tho - dont fly a bc alone through 0.0 when at war. fly in groups.
that said, i might experiment with lasers this time.

nice in theory and I bet it works to a good degree....but for another 30 to 40 mil, you can get the real deal when it comes to snipergankships.

using prophecy vs. bloodraider spawns and expect to loose it one time or the other.
with right tank it can do a dual BS spawn easy but you will need a 100% correct setup.
thinking you are fighting blood raiders u are are screwed in a .0 spawn of real quality, that said anything without a patriarch can be tanked with a dual 750k BS+ escort maybe onlu dual 500kwith escort (not 100% sure).
i use sansha against setups (with no kinetic damage and will tank anything not using kinetic)
only blood raiders using kinetic is the blood patriarch wich is fairly rare.
as long as you dont see pats go with setup recommended.
it will work nice just take out tacklers to get target stopped :)
taking out PVPers is quite another story tho
this is only tried on level 4 mission targets and i would never try bigger on my own.

you don't really need tracking enhancers, cause pulses hit good enough. sensor booster, web, disruptor, 6x hsII

After reading that you people were using Prophecy's to take out dual-bs spawns... I tried it myself just now with no luck at all. The group was 3 or 4 100k's and a 750k megathron (serpantis). I've got reasonable combat and cap skills and would take this spawn without even needing to watch in my Geddon but in the prophecy i just got wacked to Hell and back.
I got:
5 heavy pulse (multi), med nos, heavy missile web, 2 cap recharger (barton) rcu, kin armor hard, med t2 armor rep, 3 cap relays
I've also tried with a mwd and having an extra gun, and also having defenders. But each lil tinker gives the same result, i get smacked up badddddd and have to warp out almost straight away! Even when I got the megathron webbed and at optimal range I dont do nearly enough damage or tank.

One, you dont have a thermal hardener. Two, you dont have an afterburner.
Throw those on, and keep your transverse up nice and high to the battleships. Concentrate on killing enough cruisers to maintain your tank first.
Or you could just do it faster, better, and cheaper in an enyo.

Hey Nero reply to topic, please.
I agree to prev comment. Most race specific 0.0. npc spwans can, in time, be dealt with by AF's. Blood's are easy enough up to a 2 1mil BS spawn with a hardened wolf.

Ummmmm... Find some blood raider NPC battleships. You can take up to a 1 million isk spawn with 6 heavy beam II and a EM armor tank. Fit a Arb rocket launcher to stop the explosive missiles.
You can fit Heavy Pulse II and 4 heatsink II in lows plus 1 med armor rep with mwd. But you will have to warp in at close range.

Hey jus got a prophecy, my current setups are:
6 hvy beams (or pulse) 1 malkuth hvy launcher 3 cap I's (named) 1 T2 med rep 3 hardners (ex, ther, kin) 2 cap relays
gank setup:
6 hvy pulse (beams for longer range) 1 rocket launcher w/defs 1 sensor booster II, 1 warp disruptor (20k) 1 cap charger (named) 1 med T2 rep, 5 heatsink II's
works pretty well

Am I missing something here? 6x 275 grid (heavy pulse II's) is 1650 - the ship was made with 1200, and can be Engineer5'd up to 1500...
Even if you got the expensive named one with 250 grid, this doesn't leave any room for any other mods, the rocket launcher, the repairer, etc. This monopolizes your free spare lowslots(which you'll need to fill with diagnostics or reactor controls just to use your repairer, launcher, and midslots), and destroys your cap.
Much more sensible, and similarly priced, is the focused modulated medium energy beam. Slightly worse range, 83% of the damage potential, slightly better tracking, MUCH better powergrid, and MUCH less cap.

So as far as tactics go, you start with radio from range to knock shields, then once theyre in multifreq optimal you use that?

Trying to do this with a minimal of crystal switching. Im carrying all of them and its confusing
