I still don't understand why we have to fill in a form before we can have a big fight.
Yes, I know WHY we have to, but why do we have to? Can't CCP just, I dunno, make the game work?

They do. But it needs time.
And in the meanwhile you can use the fleetfight form to improve things. Of course you can also choose to not notify them and keep waiting until the improvements made it into the game. |

So the fact that 24 hours before the large fight, a large blob reinforced the ihub into the final reinforcement was not an indicator of big fight to come? What kind of statistics does CCP use to allocate systems to nodes? The amount of miners and mission runners?

Yea lasts night fight like the one a few days previous was a let down, server was behaving weird, re despite being 40 au from hostiles they were still on my overview, when i tried relogging it warped me 45 au back to the gate we came into the system from, this is on top of all the usuall lag related things. Speaking from a 0.0 resident this entire year has been laughable in terms of server performance during fights, the devs can make all the pretty graphs and blogs they want but lets be honest here there has been no server improvements this year at all.

I have one thing to say in reference to this lag,
Just because you can bring 600 ships to a fight, doesnt mean you have to.
Seriously guys 9/10 times lag is caused because you guys are devoid of any tactical thought which goes above "Bring more ships than the other guy" While this may be CCP's fault for favouring mechanics which require blobbing tactics its certainly every 0.0 alliances fault for following these simplistic tactics instead of demanding changes to the SoV and fleet mechanics to favour less concentration of forces. And FYI this is also the fault of symetrical force buildup, 100 ships against 100 ships in a straight up shoot out will take just aslong to duke it out as 300 against 300, the only change is the ammount of lag you suffer while doing so.

What? It's because we have 600 players willing and wanting to fight, they aren't forced to come, they want to.

The point i was trying to get accross is you dont need to bring your entire fleet to one battle, spread them out, attack multiple enemy systems, instead of blobbing up at once, its the fault of player psychology that numbers are the one thing determining sucess these days.

[WTB] A liner solution to an O(n^2) problem.
...which is what you're asking for.
When you deliver that, please post pics of your Nobel prize you'll get for figuring it out.

OK, let me see if I understand this correctly
1: There are Server "Gods" 2: These "Gods" require mortal assistance to perform their duties. 3: Mortal's have been warned that if "Gods" not properly notified of events, Locusts will be summoned.
I have worked with these "Gods" before.... Had a much more useful name for them though..
