Great fun indeed! Now, a few words from CCP would be nice now! Because what we all are wondering if...
Do the logs show anything????

Thanks again all! We'll get some more details out but yes... we did take Jita on the test hardware to the very edge and a tad past it. More details out next week.

This is not correct, I saw 2027 for sure. Had my eyes peeled on that score.

What you see in local chat and the actual connected sessions are not exactly the same. While there was some fluxuation I think CCP Explorer is the guy who would know ;)

Well CCP, a Sansha incursion 19 jumps from Jita today?
You could have had the incursion IN Jita instead. So you gotta torture us with an event 19 jumps away.
It's just not cricket.

would ccp mind having Jita's concord take the day off tomorrow? Maybe having everyone attack the station at jita 4-4 as some type of event?

And you did it quite well. I needed a cigarette.
Concord actually bumped me around a bit too - they were also flying in a formation of sorts.

No doubt that you saw 2027, it can depend on the timing of when the chat broadcasts were received.
I must correct my number upon further analysis, the record was 2023 (not 2025).

Do you have numbers for how many were on the various grids (outside 4-4, perimeter gate, etc)?

Not exact numbers, no. We were correlating the chat numbers vs. active sessions for the entire system.

Yeah, thats cool. I thought about trying to count but it would have been pretty futile with how fast things were moving. I don't know that I've ever seen 2000 people in a single system and it remain playable. There were definitely a couple hundred + outside 4-4, and grid load time was ~45 seconds with probably 2-3 seconds of module lag.
I'm really really surprised that it didn't black screen me. Really nice job on the hardware upgrade. Do you know what happened to all the "surrounding" systems mentioned in this thread and why they couldn't log in? There's specific timestamps and locations in the thread ... it'd be awesome to know whether the test really did affect other systems.

Ed: I was repeatedly docking/undocking for the test. If I'd thought about it I'd have spent a few mil on trit just to stress the Jita inventory node. -- Eve Forum ***** Extraordinaire On Twitter Blog

Not sure if it's of any interest but when I logged in, my character was in Jita 4-4. Like many others, I got told it was too congested and was given the option to enter another system. I picked one and logged in. Guess where I was? Jita 4-4!!

In-space lag was pretty painless about 3 second or so lag for me outside 4-4 in JITA with 2000+ in system. When I tried to dockup it was a different story, I didnt get a screenchange after docking approval for half a minute and then I just had a blackscreen for a I think 20 something seconds. Logged out after.

I definitely did see 2027, if all for an extremely short moment, but I do understand for your records you have to hit certain criteria. Even though it was visible to me at 2027, it may not have hit your set requirements to count.
Congrats anyway, I was glad to be a small part of it. (Was not with this character)

CCP, Guys, you did great job with the Characterd Nodes, the new Hardware etc.!
Do you plan to use the same HS22 blade w/ Westmere CPU for Sisi Mass Testing any time soon?

My results:
Very terrible lag with the screen hanging up for up to a minute at time but I have an old system running XP and an nVidia 8600 GT card on a PCIe slot.
So I asked around to find the difference between server lag and client lag (rather than do the forum thing and put curses on CCP whilst using leetspeak).
I turned my graphics settings to "optimize for performance" (which is all the way down), and still had a hovering screen rate below 10. Someone said "turn off the overview" and that changed things a lot. There were moments where the screen hung for a few seconds or there would be around 10 seconds of a less than 10 FPS, but on the average I was getting an FPS in the upper 20s to low 30s at Jita 4-4. Elsewhere in the system I was over 100 fps.
Would have been a real test for Sansha to show up with a few wormholes and some carriers and about 150 Nightmares.

What you are describing is client lag. Your video card wasn't able to keep up. How did you configure your overview and, more importantly, how did you configure the in-space brackets?

I saw what I can only describe as lag.
My overview got all blurry
There was a faint smell of burning flesh
A sharp shooting pain in my left foot and something tugged on my shirt.
Oh wait, I was just BBQ ing ribs while drinking beer and watching the kids run over my foot.
