As for my entry I thought it was kinda cool idea but I deactivated the DA account I made in embarrassment when I realised I was competing with bored areonautic engineers. I thought all those supre high quality ones were great but they kinda spoiled it for the everyman eve player who could get the idea out there and have the excellent CCP medellers and artists finish the job perhaps but very unlikely. My vote goes to CCP who have tacitly stamped their authority in an entertaining and upbeat way. I'll type up my ideas in the apropriate forum.

Well i kinda know how you feel...my artistry work isn't much to write home about but i'm just hoping my idea behind the ship will boost the prospect of it being thought of; "Hey that's a cool idea, lets work on that one since we can improve on it's basics quite easily." You're welcome :) But since i lack the skills most of the artists that enter the competition I will probably only submit this, sketching the 6 view n thats it. and well who wouldnt want a flying banana ^^

Stitcher Caldari Lai Dai Infinity Systems	Posted - 2010.09.14 13:03:00 - [172] what I find hilarious about the contest is that so many of the submissions very plainly come from people who've never played the game and don't think that such things as source material research or knowing the first damn thing about the game is important. in fact, a huge number of them are plainly stuff these guys did before the contest came aong which they decided to enter. I mean, here are some things that can be considered typical of this trainwreck of a contest, (and of slightly slightly above-average quality)... ships that claim to be of a given faction, but don't match their aesthetic at all, entries that couldn't have taken more than fifteen minutes to slap together, ships that don't match the design style of any known faction in the game, ships that invent a whole new ship class, ships that are blatantly from a completely different IP, ships with names that are already taken, entries that took an existing ship, imported it to 3DS Max, added some stuff then hit "turbosmooth", entries that aren't even supposed to be at all related to EVE by the submitter's own admission, an oriental bloke with his shirt off, and whatever the hell this is supposed to be the few genuinely good submissions are depressingly few and far between.
