[1] What do you guys think, would it be a good addition to add casinos to the game and also add something in game wherre u can invest your isk to try and make a fortune. I know i would invest mine if i could and hope for a good return on it. and with casinos who knows maybe we could play slots for chances to win a titan or any other type of battleship. |

[3] yes, i think that this is an excellent idea. If you happen to have spare cash, being able to deposit it into a bank account to earn interest. Could be a nice income if you have the capital. The casino would add a bit of excitement after a few hours mining - you need it after that! |

There were casino facilities in beta because there was a casino in the outpost in Tradewars... Everything links back to Tradewars. If the devs keep true to their Tradewars roots, then at some point planetary ownership will become possible and you will be able to put banks on the planets you own that accumulate interest... not to mention Quasar cannons.  |

What you miss is the point that you cannot turn ISK legally back into RL money. That is the cruical point here. You maybe can get tons of isk via GTCs but there is no legal way to get back RL money from your ISK - and that is good. |

There is an industry out there that converts isk into cash...and while selling isk for cash may be a violation of the EULA, to the best of my knowledge, it's not actually a crime. My contention is a gambling casino in game would be sufficiently similar to real casinos as to trigger legal action by some jurisdictions. If you can buy "play money", gamble with it and then convert the winnings into real cash...yes, government agencies may become interested. I can't see why a mmorpg company would want to waste resources dealing with the legal issues which could arise in such a situation. Plus...would CCP want to field complaints about devs cheating in the casino? No way! Things are bad enough as it is. |
