Specifically, sentry guns around stations. ATM, I'm trying to hunt convoys but those damn guns keep hitting me even when I'm 220km+ away. What gives?

It has been my expeience that once an NPC starts shooting you, it never stops, regardless of range. It's kinda stupid, considering it shouldn't be able to even target from that far away, but oh well.

Well I started firing at the npc convoys while 220km away from the nearest sentry gun, yet the guns still hit me. I'm guessing their range was increased quite a bit.

There are some goo posts around on convoy hunying, I belive if the convoy belongs to that station the sentries will attack at a longer range.
have a look for the posts on it.

Afaik Convoys do not drop anything at the moment.
Devs turned it off because they where dropping stuff they wherent supposed to drop.
