I was in channel when you got banned. You were *****ing and moaning about them not giving away enough with the promos, one of the blink guys called you out for trying to screw with the market and make blink buy marked up pirate ships, then somer banned you.
They've told us all, the money they make off GTC's doesn't even pay for the hosting. And most every "big" eve site sells GTCs to try and offset hosting costs. Chribba included.

why should you benifit from 1 isk blinks when you've not spent any money on anything else? They dont need to do the promo's but they do, seems to me its like thank you for blinking ur isk away.

Ill reply for myself since I said a similar thing.
I have already played and won several blinks in the past and now that I don't have any extra isk to drop into my account why should I leave the odd amount of 2,324,845isk just sitting around. Why not promo blink when I visit the site to check how its going still maybe once every few days untill I have more to deposit. Its not like I am getting a 1 isk promo ticket to these gigablinks that are going on. |

For folks who don't want/can't continue investing their own ISK in Blink, but still want to participate, we do provide butan bonus ISK often enough that you can always stay "promo-capable"
Granted, it takes more time on those people's part than just "check for free stuff, win free stuff" - but we had a deluge of promo-only alts, honestly. We had to find a way to continue rewarding real customers without allowing others to spoil the system.
We're still evaluating the current promo requirement, though, and are more than willing to listen to feedback on what you feel would keep promos viable. :)

Youre missing the point, it has nothing to do with a perfect world, but RL at least has things in place to help deter, prevent and stop things like this from happening, granted they dont always work but something is better than nothing. EVE lacks any such mechanism.
If you think EVE is better than real life...well I feel sorry for you.

Last GTC I only got credit for 1 GTC instead of two, and this time an error is generated saying it doesnt recognise the reference I inputted (i've put it in three times)
