Being able to redistribute your SP for money wouldn't bother me so long as it stopped there. In a P2P game there should not be any way to advance more quickly than other via cash.

Redistributing SP doesn't exactly advance a character any faster than a character that does not have SP redistribed - it just makes an existing character capable of being more flexible, for a price.
Caveat on the above statement: of course reclaimed SP could be poured from the pool into better learning skills or increasing the cybernetics skill (for inserting higher grade attribute implants than before) but I wouldn't call it game breaking by any means, as the time has already been invested to accrue that reclaimed SP and some other skill/s now lack the corresponding SP to function as they once did.
Besides, this is somewhat moot at this stage as all we've seen is the possibility on SiSi of neural remaps for PLEX (which I am not opposed to anyway).

if someone wants to go spend 15 bucks on a neural remap to help save some time training without having to buy +5 implants whatever let them do it.. just plsssssssssssss CCP do not start trading plex for direct SP to allocate lol

Reading trough this topic and it made me comment.
Now it seems yes that CCP will offer Neural Remap for 14USD/EUR and I actually don't care about it, if some one really has f...k'd up their mapping then I see why not they should not give a opportunity to fix their attributes.
On second matter where (Now this is just speculation from players and this is not happening, but if it would) you can accelerate your SP amount for 14USD/EUR example 500k to 1 Million (Thats the training amount per month isn't it? Then again go for it, This is happening already trough Character Bazzar where people buy characters for large amount of ISK. So what's so different about accelerating your skill's? It gives you freedom to make your custom character fast.
Only reason why you would oboes such a thing is because you have spent so much time on game and now people just come in and kick your ass skill vise. Well you can do it your self to, spend some PLEX and get your 2005 toon to level of beyond of your imagination.
Actually why thees new players should be suppressed by older players? Russian army effect? Pay 14USD/EUR for anal **** a year then we see if you hold on to game a year then next year you can anal **** new comers.
So CCP if you have that in your mind, GO FOR IT. Better skilled players more quality fights, more competition.

Exactly. In all honesty they should supply a way for entry characters to boost their early growth as well.
Trying to get new friends to play the game when they are complete cripples for weeks on end is stupid.

If they just wanted to have this feature - they could set reasonable in-game price; say, 400-500 mils.
If they wanted more money - subscription cost could be increased.
Personally, i wouldn't argue if both mentioned above changes were introduced, but cash shop (and it IS cash shop) looks like beginning of the end.

Here's the thing. They already implemented a way of giving players assignable skillpoints for whatever reason they chose. Its been used as a carrot for the mass testing donkey, but I reckon its going to be used for something PLEX/commercial based soon... probably to help pay for Incarna :D

The problem is that CCP are owned (possibly I should spell that pwned) by Bjorgolfur Thor, an Icelandic tycoon with debt problems running in to billions of euros.
Although this is speculation I imagine Mr Thor is pushing CCP pretty hard to increase revenue and probably has very little understanding of the wider eve community. I wouldn't like to be in the shoes of CCP management when they try to explain to him that micro transactions are a bad idea.
I very much hope that CCP don't use plex as a way to increase skill training time, regardless of whether it is done through a remap or directly buying SP it amounts to the same thing.

That's kinda what it will be. You can buy the plex in game, and with the remap feature I can see the market price going up to 400-500M.
I don't think many people will pay real money for a remap.

You still don't get it. You can get 1 additional remap for the item which is injected into game by paying real cash, there's absolutely no chance to pay for it with ingame currency alone, until someone decides to sell you a plex.
Did you ever seen f2p games, where significant portion of hi-grade items ccan be bought for real cash only? Yes, anyone else can get these items too by bying from original owners, but price (measured in ingame currency) depends on how much of these items can be bought from cash shop and their popularity. And price is often insane.
The more features available for PLEX only - the more it will cost. I can imagine plex market price breaking 5 bil roof... lol.

Remapping is limited because it's very dangerous to brain.So how does Pilot License affects neurosurgery?

Pretty much my thoughts exactly. I guess this would be the proverbial pinky finger being sold.
I know people have been asking for more uses for PLEXs, but IIRC they have been mainly for out of game sevices such as character transfers and portrait remakes. Why exactly do you(CCP) feel it is a good idea to start allowing people to bypass in-game mechanics in exchange for PLEXs?
