Originally by: Selling Slave I didn't see anywhere in the patch notes that they fixed the issue with the market window showing the correct price. Guess that slipped their mind, an of course they will sit on their hands about fixing the issues it is causing. Then again, I don't expect CCP to care anyway, I wouldn't be half surprised if they weren't behind half the scamming that goes on, specially seeing how they find it amusing.
There is a reason this game isn't has popular as it could be, that little kids game WoW has been out for a little less time, yet has done far better with the numbers then EvE. Sad ...
Other established MMOs have caused far less grief after patches than Eve has, but that is not the reason Eve has not been as successful as WoW. It's because Eve does not pander to casuals, which is a Good ThingÖ for those of use who rise to a challenge. Still, it doesn't help Eve when I start to dread patch days more than I ever did with any other well established MMO.
If another space combat + trading sandbox MMO came out tomorrow that was even nearly as good as Eve, yet less buggy, I'd jump at it. CCP might want to keep in mind they won't always be the only show in town. They've lost a great deal of my goodwill since I signed up, and they show little sign of reversing that trend -- Frog blast the vent core! |

THE OPTIONAL PATCH HASN'T FIXED ANYTHING.
What. The. !@#$?
My pinned tabbed windows are STILL ungrouped and stacked. If I unpin them they are moved instead to the top left of the UI.
Windows will not stay in place. They will not stay tabbed. They will not stay the same size.
Just WTF was this patch supposed to do??? -- Frog blast the vent core! |

Originally by: 8klinger sorry m8 try to send printscreen but it does not work. My overview is to big and causing problems in a mision
I think there is an option to reset windows to default positions somewhere ... hold on.
Settings - Reset Settings - press "Reset windows to default positions." Or rather the button to the right of it.
That will reset ALL your windows also, but should take care of an overly inflated Overview.
BM
Well I have:
clear caches reset window positions reset all of UI manually deleted Eve's settings and caches reinstalled Eve installed optional patch which does nothing
So I think it's just a wee waste of time suggesting resetting windows will fix anything currently affected. -- Frog blast the vent core! |

Originally by: Orange Lagomorph Which is the logical course of action when a patch causes wildly disproportionate quantities of bugs compared to the handful of tweaks and new features it introduces?
Is it:
A.) Allow the patch to remain deployed, frantically releasing emergency patches and hotfixes whilst the entire player base suffers through a laggy, buggy gaming environment.
B.) Roll back the patch, return to testing it in an actual testing environment, and allow the player base to continue enjoying the game while you iron out the bugs.
or
C.) Take off and nuke the entire game from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

Originally by: Enkill Eridos A lot of you have been *****ing..you know what? I have had minimal problems with the UI or new patch. I don't pin windows either. I like my windows to pop up randomly so I can put them where I want them. CCP has done a good job with Tyrannis so far. I like the optional patch. I had a little bit of problems that seemed server side, but they were fixed before I could put in a ticket. To all those saying Customer happiness and that these bugs should never happen I have to explain something to you. EVE Online is a pretty unique game, I have yet to see one that is just one server for everyone. Then you have clients for people who speak languages other than English. So CCP basically has to keep customers from ALL OVER THE WORLD happy. And as long as the majority is happy, that's all that matters.
For those having problems with connecting or hangups with EVE. I have a suggestion.
Download CCleaner and Defraggler they are free. If you don't know were to get it I will help you out a little. Go to http://www.google.com and search those names.
If you play a lot of games you should be using a similar two programs. I like these two because they don't stay on all the time. Run CCleaner once a week and Defraggler bi-monthly. But for right now run those two as soon as you install them. After CCleaner cleans out the Windows Cache Folders Then run Defraggler to defrag the computer. (You can use the one that comes with windows, but I am not happy with the defrag program that comes with windows.) See if that works. Remember if you all of a sudden have problems after a patch try doing some cleanup on your computer (You should do this at least once a week anyway.) Then see if that fixes it. If it does not submit a ticket, CCP devs will fix it as soon as they can.
I really wanted to report your post, but sadly there was no section for 'gross technical ignorance'. Hey, maybe you should reinstall Windows every month too? And do a little voodoo dance around your PC? -- Frog blast the vent core! |

Originally by: Blasphemour OK This is VERY funny tbh... Everyone is whining that the patch is crap and stuff is messed up, and I am rejoicing the patch! I am a Mac user and for the first time in MONTHS I get FPS above 25. Even when running 2 clients I can actually play the game without shouting at it because it crashes or freezes up.
For months PC users told me 'Don't use a Mac'. Now it's time for revenge?
Well Eve's windows are buggered in both OSX 10.5.8 and WinXP Pro here on this Mac. -- Frog blast the vent core! |

Working great here CCP!
Why don't I quite believe he never changed the default position cans open, or ever pinned tabbed windows? -- Frog blast the vent core! |
