i may be amarr but i found one of the best set ups for a corecor are 8 280 howies with a MWD and a small named armor rep with power core reactor 1's i had a staber with a set up like that but the only way i found out about that was i was going to war and i was in pator and they had nothing good at all to work with so i had to slap on some 280's so ya nice strong setup but just stay with the minnie ship in the end if you want to keep with that setup

while I agree with the final statement, DLBs have the lowest DPS of all the notable T2 guns... fitting 8xMPL2s on it is tough, but with full skills you can do it... even without advanced weapon upgrades you can fit 8 MPL2s with just one MAPC, and if you add a PDU you can fit 2 HS2s with room to spare... at that point you're really doing damage, though you're lacking the range of the DLBs...

I need a setup for cosmos mission -a deadspace mission where only frigs or destroyers can enter. I read your post thoroughly but still not sure what setup to use -I am confused by it á - á-á á Don't be a fool, be Relentless! á For Live Ingame Price Checks. Visit the ingame channel price_check. |

I used 6x Medium Pulse + AB.
The rest of my config varied on whether or not I wanted to fit 0, 1, or 2 nosferatus in the remaining high slots. -==- Holy-Jim> as you know, surprise is the key to victory.....surprise! LooseCannoN> ahh! LooseCannoN> my plans have been foiled! |

I use the coercer to have some fun with npc while training learnings :) I came up with this setup: Hi: 8 x Autocannons (mix of 125mm and 150mm 'scouts' depending on engineering skill level)
Med: 1 x AB (named)
Low: 1 x Small armor repairer (named) 1 x gyrostabillizer (named) 2 x 400mm armor plate (tungsten and/or nanofiber)
:) About projectile on amarr: the bonuses that the coercer gets for lasers - less cap and better tracking - are not very important because autocannons dont eat cap and have a good tracking. About 2x400mm armor plates: with current skills and not the best plates (1 nanofiber and 1 whatever, forgot the name) i have over 2k armor, wich tanks quite good even missile cruisers and a swarm of rogue drones in close combat, not speaking about less damagedealing npc's, the speed is quite ok, arround 400-500 depending on equipment and skills. Just plug in your AB, orbit at 1km and let them die :) You can drop AB when you're versus close combat opponents to save cap for the repairer. About highs: you can try to put a smartbomb vs missiles or a nosferatu and another repairer instead the gyrostab or the plate, that might need some extra skill tho.

I've been mining into containers with mine. Pretty cheap setup and you can just get four gaussian lasers on it - but only in 1.0 or be prepared to run 'cos its defenseless like that. Fill up the low slots with cpu upgrades.

For PVP, just fit for gank. Fly in, kill as much as possible, get killed (inevitable), go back to base, get a new one, repeat.

Having only one medium slot sucks! Dump your Coercer and get yourself a real ship.

Edited by: Ioudas Iskariotes on 27/12/2005 11:20:32 I noticed most of you used either MPL(which I can't fit at the moment) or DPL, and you match that up with an AB in the middle slot. The problem I have with pulse lasers and this ship, even with an AB is that the damn this is so slow. I wreck stuff when I get in close but it takes me forever to get there.
I have been thinking about going beam something or another but I was just wondering whether or not there was perhaps something I was missing which was why it wasn't working for me.

8x 200mm I/II AC Mwd small t2 repper, adaptive nano and 2x 400mm plates
That was my setup before RMR.
Spanked an Enyo around with it.
Anyways, with the 50% optimal i`d advice change to dual light beams with webber/painter/20k and 2 heat sinks in low along with tracking enhancer and a plate.
8x dual light beams loaded with 15km crystal webber/painter/20k/tracking computer 2x heat sinks, tracking enhancer and 200mm plate.
U could switch out the tracking enhancer for a Micro Auxiliary Power Core and switch the plate to a 400mm one.
And u got a nasty anti-frig ship with decent range possibility. ---------------------------------------- Honor and Serve, 'till u Betray and Die! I betrayed, I died and i joined RKK.

it should get over 530m/s with an ab. hardly slow.
Drop the plate and fit a cpr so you can run your rep more.

Don't use small pulses unless you like getting owned in the face by smartbombs.
