What would you like to achieve in eve? Is there really an end to this?

Eve's endgame is to rack up as high a Kill/loss ratio in pvp as you can. And brag about your awesome kills.

The end game? To beat Eve of course. The last boss is tough!

I've beaten it already,by having trained all the races nicely up,something that CCP didn't want to see happen since they were in a specialisation agenda a long time ago,but the release of new ships for every race has been so slow over the years, that long term players end up not having any choice in the matter, and are forced to diversify.
Heck i'll even be training science skills soon enough, even though i have no real interest in science beyond the absolute required relative to fitting equipement on ships, but this is a problem only for those who stick around with the game for 6+ years(7 1/2 years in my case).

My mission is to NAP everything so that everyone is either NAPed with me or my enemy because we have no clue how to PvP, so far my coalition has NAPed majority of eve, we succeed in PvP because nodes cant handle high numbers and everytime CCP fixes lagg we successfully crash nodes again with high amount of numbers.
We kid ourselves saying we are friends with 70,000 other macros much like how bacteria feels connected to its neighbouring microbes, but in truth we are anti-social and the only communication you will ever see is when a different corp / member takes out macro ratting space.
Now with eve rapidly reducing in numbers we are closer than ever to making 0.0 'Hello Kitty Land'.
Fortunately recent games have been released (which wont be mentioned as mods removed comments todo with other games) which know the problem with MASS NAPing and have introduced a sandbox related feature where theres a risk with NAPing an alliance / player.
Even browser games encourage war over NAPing, so while we see numbers shrinking day by day we will continue to NAP.
Our current tumorous rate is 5000 players per month and we estimate to have everyone NAPed (the remaining 25% of 0.0) by the end of 2011

Mine is to fly and own every ship in the game (non-uber rare of course and titans) basically that's it, I'm not crazy like Entity who wants one of everything, no no, not that crazy...

End Game to me is solo and "small gang" PVP, which hopefully doesn't ever come to an end. Although, it does seem to be an uphill battle against the droves of skill-less blobbers.

Edited by: Manipulator General on 16/10/2010 05:22:42 It's the part of the game once the queens are gone, i.e. after the middle-game.
And despite table-bases it remains a very elusive, and complex part of the game.

You win EVE by sticking around longer than CCP. ----------- Why is it called common sense, when it's clearly very rare.
I had a mind once, but alas, I seem to have forgotten where I left it.

2 SC capable characters(2x nyx).
The day I have all, a I mean ALL skills that effect combat, navigation and the NYX at V on both characters Is the day I will need to find a new goal. ------

Edited by: Dasola on 16/10/2010 06:57:20 lol i think ultimate endgame would be being asked to join jovians in their space. Thats when you truly have beaten EvE.
But untill that i just keep trying new things (new things to mee anyways) and pileing up isk,

I had that goal... 1 aeon, 1 nyx. I got an avatar/nyx instead.. game's still boring.

Depends on the person and their interests imo. Some possible goals include:
1) Doing things that haven't been done. Still some of these that are possible. 2) Build up a corp/alliance from nothing and become a relevant part of eve politics 3) Become a master of pvp and all the ships involved 4) Win the alliance tournament 5) 1 trillion liquid isk 6) Various killboard goals, like kill 1 of each ship in Eve.
or the true challenge, that many have tried but few have succeeded:
7) Get the gf/wife to play ;P

No, there's no end (woo :3). My personal end game would be to have enough money to fund what I like doing the most (dying horribly while solo) and then just get on with it, tis what EVE is all about imho.

I dont really have an end game tbh, I quite happy to simply exsist here doing whatever with friends. For me eve has become an experience in a cool sci-fi setting.

My endgame will occur when I amass enough wealth and social connections to organize and fund a spy network spanning numerous major alliances.
I will collect intelligence and feed it to enemies of the organizations in question; arrange for acts of theft, betrayal and sabotage; and do so in way that most benefits myself, my associates and the organizations which I consider to be allies.
Mentioning this at all is an act of bad judgment on my part, but one has to let one's guard down every once in a while. There's a reason I only post on this forum with an anonymous alt in a throw-away training account.

To keep having fun. That's the only endgame that matters to me and what I'm doing to get there changes constantly and if (when) that's eventually gone, I'll take a break and play something else. .

QFT.
Not exactly an endgame, rather just plodding along, tinkering whatever feels fun, and taking a break when it no longer does.

Making enough from t2 invention on my main (and doing it in as little as time as possible), avoiding all grind entirely, passively, to plex and provide toys for two accounts.
Having fun on the alt and - because its free - not feeling entitled to anything. Or obsessively angry about everything. Not having to grind 15 hrs a day to 'justify' paying for EvE.
Just have fun. Free fun. Best fun.
