Ok man, I'm going to tell you before you make a big mistake: there's nothing at all socialist about the US government. Corrupt maybe, but not socialist. You leaving the US because you think it's becoming too socialist is like someone from France in WW2 leaving France for Germany because they think the French government was becoming fascist. The people who are holding the US government hostage aren't in DC, they're in high rises on Wall Street. The reason the US is getting a D- in just about everything today isn't because of socialism, but rather because of unchecked capitalism. "I don't give a sh!t about you as long as I get mine" is the name of the game and it's always been that way. Now, however, it has caught up with them; banks are being bailed out because, well, they had to be bailed out. I personally would've liked to see the government give them the finger, allowing the banks to fail, and allowing everything to come to a grinding halt, forcing everyone to start over. It would've sucked but it would've leveled the playing field. But there are too many people in high places that really love their golden parachutes, and THAT my friend, is capitalism. Money talks, bullsh!t walks.
First of all, good social systems work better for overall quality of life for the majority of a country's people than a purely capitalist society. That's the entire reason for being socialist. Less money to go around but a lot less pain too. Have you even researched these places you say you'd like to go? You think the US economy is bad now? Do you know what's going on in Ireland now? Or how the Netherlands is being crippled by unchecked immigration? Did you know that the UK might be facing ANOTHER bailout?
The difference, however, is that when the UK's economy finally bottoms out, you'll still be able to go to the hospital even if you don't have money. You can thank a strong social system for that.
