My Alt is 'GM Gandalf' and enjoy nothing better than replacing people's ships after they diaf due to the game breaking in monstrously bad ways when 1000s of pod pilots jump into the same system and attempt to surprise sex each-other.
You should read some of the eve-mails I get from the ladies. Make you blush. Some from the lad too.

If EVE really did have cancer, shouldn't it be dead by now? I mean it's been over seven years and EVE is still growing so I think the cancer is cured by now.

No idea how it would change but:
1) CCP would get far less income;
2) How can you possibly control this?
3) CCP has been encouraging this ($$$);
4) The sluggish skilling mechanic doesn't allow you to experience all the facets of the game within 10 years on a single character;
5) The spy, cheat, security standings and other mechanics encourage multiple accounts.
As with character buying, ISK buying, and - soon - remap for $$$ CCP follows the "if you can't beat it, join it" path.
If you like board games, go on and play them.

Try the Battlestar Galactica boardgame
Discovering you are a infiltrated Cylon after you have played half game as a human will open some new horizon in gaming to you.
Awesome boardgame, almost as much fun is reaching the end of the game and realizing no one was the Cylon and you kept putting some poor player in the brig the whole time.

- Is EvE is a game with high risk, fraught with danger, harsh and unforgiving?
- How does gate camping a low-sec mission hub and running missions on a positive sec status alt, in the same hub, apply to the former statement (since most people answer yes to the first question)? What about perma scouting, creating disposable spies...?

I have no idea what the answers to your questions are, as I'm currently training Advanced Spaceship Spinning to V. But it's a 100x skill , so, I'll let you know in a few years what EVE actually looks like.

Best trolls I've seen were by devs in the Rickroll thread. They put up links to their new dev blogs and trolled everyone. Pages upon pages later people were still biting and posting how epic the dev trolls were.

I would agree that alts create a major crap-fest on this game (and was one of the main reasons why I quit this game for a few months), but your name sort of makes it hard to take you seriously...

No game tries as hard as EvE to pretend it's edgy brvtal and harsh. When it's really not, since you can be both a wimpy ganky campy "pirate" and a mission runner ferrying modules from highsec to your negsec char. There are no consequences at all, -5.0 means nothing and has no impact on gameplay, because of alts.
Darkfall, for example, is much harsher than EvE, because there's real-time skill involved. You cannot fight with multiple accounts simultaneously and expect any positive results -you cannot go team wizzy, because you need to aim-. Everybody has equal meta-game tools.
