That being said, a carrier has more use outside of highsec than a pirate battleships, they can tank and dish damage at the same time, they are not "dead meat" the instant they are jammed and scrammed and if I remember correctly.
a pirate battleship costs minimum 800 mil with the rattlensnakes (being 464 mil, less than CNR) being the only subcap besides the platinum plated domi that can solo the almost gone lvl 5 missions, could use an additional buff to make them more useful outside of highsec other than being the KM of the month and blitzkrieging the nerfed lvl 4 missions (when was the last time you have seen a faction drop in a lvl 4? when was the last time you saw something that was actually valuable drop in a lvl 4?)
right now they are becoming more or less obsolete with the addition of the T3 battleship, and the T3 cruiser, and carriers.
My idea increase sensor strenth to 1.5x or 2.0x (they are useless if they get jammed)
Nightmare 1 addional turret high,
rattlesnake change drone bonus from 10% to 20%
machrial galente battleship gives optimal and falloff
blagghorn Amarr Battleship Skill Bonus: 20% bonus to Energy Vampire and Energy Neutralizer drain amount per level Minmatar Battleship Skill Bonus: 30% bonus to Stasis Webifier activation range per leve

You make the mistake of posting this thread in the first place, and THEN you add insult to injury by leaving out the least effective pirate BS in the game: the Vindicator. WTF were you thinking? -

Yeah, there's a lot of Pirate Ships, especially sub Battleship size that need a lot more help than the ones you listed.
Personally, I would rather see the ships be made cheaper and more accessible than be boosted to justify their excessive costs.
Something to actually help those that actually earn the ships themselves by running Pirate Missions would be good.... ie. those that actually align to a Pirate Faction. Such as a type of insurance on Pirate ships where they can replace those they lose at reduced LP cost.

then we would see all the lowsec pirates and nullsec pirates flying pirate battleships, but yea that is a change and it would reduce the cost of pirate ships to the point where it would justify a nerf. but pirate ships do need to be made more accessable (and a buff)

Well it would make sense that player Pirates are flying Pirate ships. Makes a lot more sense than Highsec Mission runners flying them.
The assertion that all lowsec and nullsec Pirates would be all flying Pirate Faction ships seems unlikely, because few run Pirate Missions and many kill Pirate Rats and thus have horrid standing to them like everyone else. You see you can't really do both, you can't be farming Sansha Rats/Plexs and running their missions.
Your idea is a boost to rich players, where money buys over powered ships. Mine (insurance idea) is a boost to player Pirates that immerse themselves in the game lore, and make a sacrifice of not making money off killing the Pirate Faction that they use ships from.

The major factor people overlook with pirate BS's is how they scale with player investment in the way of pirate implants, faction fittings, etc.
The Nightmare and Machariel become absolute monsters with the right skills and resources. These ships are fine the way they are.
However, other ships like the Bhaalgorn don't benefit as much from implants and boosters, and will be defeated by 2 or at most 3 normal BS's. I wouldn't mind a buff for these ships, but you absolutely cannot buff the Nightmare or Machariel. They are already pretty much solopwnmobiles when done right.

They already are. The only reason you don't see it all that often is that flying in one basically plants a HUMONGOUS bulls-eye on your head and attracts hostiles from the other side of the map.
If you see a gang composed of Bhaalgorns and Ashimmus with Guardian support (with Slave Implants possibly in their heads) or a gang of Nightmares and Macheriels with Basilisk/Scimitar support I can almost guarantee that you will soil your pants and run (provided that you CAN run) to get friends... A LOT more friends... because you're going to need all of them to take down such setups (I've only seen people come out against these setups when they have 3:1 odds and/or cap support standing by).
There is also the old infamous story of a solo Nightmare, pimped out with several billion ISK in mods, jumping into a 40 man gatecamp in null-sec and killing everyone. _______________________

searched eve-search, found nothing about that story, found alot of stories about theoretical pimpfit nightmares that tank and deal 1.2k dps but requires ganglinks, full crystal set, 800 cap boosters, and boosters, and also theoretical stories of what-if a nightmare was being used in PVP and would attract every ganker/pirate/etc for 30+ jumps just to kill a faction BS that cant defend itself against a swarm of frigs with points, neuts, and other ewar.

In order to level the playing field with the other Faction ships (Navy sorts), perhaps a small boost to base resists, similar to T2 but not as much.
BTW, you don't get out much do you? For PVE fleets with logistics doing Level 5 missions, exploration plexes (10/10 or equiv) and C6 wormhole sites, Faction BS are common. Pirate ships less than the Navy ships. Since they usually have an extra slot or two, they build high resist buffer tanks better.
Bhaalgorn - Energy warfare bonuses almost dictate that this is a PVP ship (NOS/NEUT not effective in PVE). Really big Lazers! 'Geddon model.(Needs shark teeth painted on front)
Machariel - Fastest battleship. Period. Projectile bonuses. Unique model. PVP or PVE
Nightmare - Lasers and Missiles. 8 lows. Unique model. PVP or PVE
Rattlesnake - Drones and Missiles. Awesome regen or buffer tank. Scorp model, domi drone hold, plus missiles. PVP or PVE
Vindicator - Rails plus flight of large drones or sentries, plus MWD bonus. Mega model. MWD means it might keep Mach in sight in a fast BS fleet. Otherwise, use navy mega

I'd be happy if you just took the gigantic target off of faction/pirate ships in general. Right now they just scream "KILL ME I'LL PAD YOUR KILLBOARD STATS AND DROP NICE LOOT!" Have them register on the overview as the ship hull they've been modified from and list on the killmail as the actual ship hull. A Rattlesnake shows as a scorpion. A vindicator shows as a megathron. Make something up for the Angel/Sansha ships, very few people actually use the "look at" command during a fight so you could really list them as just about anything(in the same class of course), but you get the picture. That way they aren't gleaming beacons for bullets and missiles to follow on the battlefield and it might make taking one out actually worth while.
