I always drop in every expansion hoping it will dazzle me and tempt me to come back so here I am. Are there going to be any new skills? New ships except for faction ships? Anything totally awesome that people can't wait for?
Also, if there are any people I know or I've flown with in the past. Send me a mail ingame! Or join my channel D-C ingame so we can catch up.
Come to think of it, whatever happened to avatars becoming more detailed? I remember back in i think 2007 when I went to Iceland Fan Fest it was all hyped up and seemed not to far away, but here we are in 2011 and still nothing. What about walk in stations and all that? Any word on that?

first stage is right in november, with the release of incursion, where everyone is getting their avatar swapped for a full body makeover \o/.
rest is to be expected for 2011.

Two words:
Keyboard. Shortcuts.
That alone makes the patch worth its price. 
If you want more words: proper anti-aliasing, further support for multi-screen setups, a new ORE ship (dedicated salvager), new avatars (the rest of Incarna now slated for next year), improved planetary interaction, Sansha "raids" (which may reward you with a new-fangled Sansha mothership)à
àbut that's just from the top of my head. I know there's at least one of those seemingly small, but entirely awesome fixes that's in there but that I can't for the life of me remember right now.
edit: Oh yes, the market is being reshuffled and expanded on so that a lot more faction stuff (pirate ships and the like) are now also available through the market interface, rather than solely via contracts. Also, the ships are being grouped in a more logical manner, so the "Cruisers" category, for instance, will now have subsections such as "Advanced Cruisers" (T2), "Elite Cruisers" (Faction/pirate), and so on, just like we currently have with ammo.

Really! They making us convert our avatars this Nov? I've always been proud of my characters avatar, its going to be hard for me to part with it.  Will they have a conversion tool so that it will automatically convert my avatar to an exact but more detailed look?

This expansion is actually shaping up to be one of the best expansions to date.
1. 64 bit item database.
2. Massive improvements on fleet lag with a bunch of fixes.
3. Keyboard shortcuts to fly your ship (jump/align/etc..)
4. Rocket fix
5. PI improvements to make it less boring and not so many clicks.
6. New salvaging ship from ORE.
7. New avatars and character creation engine
8. Incursions... Group/fleet based encounters against Sansha where one of the rewarded items is a faction mothership.
9. They're fixing the market to where it's reorganized and they're also including faction stuff.
10. New right click menus.
11. Downtimes are shortened
12. T2 Ammo is getting adjusted and balanced better (also looks like a hybrid bandaid)
13. Fighterbombers are getting a bit of a fix to help assist in fleet lag.
14. New EVEGate stuff and forums? I think...
15. New API engine.
This is all I've got so far... I'm sure I'm missing out on quite a bit. There's a long list of fixes and improvements they're doing to the game as well.
EDIT: 16 new graphics engine stuff where dual monitors can be used and AA is included..

errr.. it will be like dominion, everyone cant wait for it and then after it came everyone will cry even moar because the fixes caused moar bugs!

It was on singularity but right now it is the Nov 2nd patch there with the 64bit inventory system. I'm sure it will be back sometime the coming week.

àalso, while I didn't have the chance to look for it, rumour has it that we'll get things like meta-level sorting and a way to visually distinguish between BPOs and BPCs.
We're also getting a full set of coloured corner tags to distinguish between different equipment qualities ù not just T1/T2/T3, but also tags that denote storyline/faction/deadspace/officer-type modules as seen here.
It's basically a whole slew of "yay, neat!" additions and changes that so far seems to add up to a "wow, awsome" kind of patch.

It used to be, but currently Sisi runs Tyranis 1.2 Beta - after Tuesday's patch (Nov 2nd), CCP will bring back the Dev Build with the new Character Editor and all the Incursion Exapnsion Beta stuff...

I find it unusual that a game company would say the release date of their project during the month its released.
I haven't played long enough to experience a previous expansion, but it still seems odd. Even if just for the sake of hyping it up.

u shoulda see the interview ith Nathan then
they touched on the fact that lots of other MMO developers out thet have new awesome looking MMOs and give them selves release dates adn then they end up not being able to reach them, where as CCP will keep us in the dark until thye feel they can present something
which i for one kinda like cause it doesnt get hope too built up

After seeing some videos Im really impressed with the new character creation... even though it wasn't completed. I just hope I can retain my resemblance of my current avatar with the new creator. Man i can't wait to mess around with it!!
Also, I heard that with the new expansion you will be able to remap your attributes before the 6 month period if you buy a PLEX. Is that unlimited? Would I be able to reset my attributes every time I buy a PLEX or does it only work once in a 1 year period?
